I lost count how many times you talked about balls on this thread. Seems to be on your mind constantly. Now you are just ranting and making no sense. And lol@anyone from Cicero commenting on little people.
-
JJ I don't disagree with the ridiculous calls they receive from people with low coping skills who dial 911 for trivial stuff. That is no fault of their own and I commend them for responding to these calls with a professional demeanor and a straight face.

That reply doesn't warrant a well thought out response but here's a cheap shot. I see you are from the town of Cicero, the same town which constantly debates whether the town should be policed by the sheriffs office or the town police. Instead of doing the fiscally responsible thing they continue with the redundancy of two police agencies. Knowing this I am not surprised by your response.

NY Cops May Be Against Your Gun Rights

We will have to disagree on this one. I am not a law enforcement basher. Whether the sign was for a garage sale or a political one is not my point. I get the thread is about the latter. It appears this home owners sign has been removed several times. If a police dept has time to target offenses which are normally handled by code enforcement then I see one of 3 problems. 1) overstaffed dept with too much time on their hand (my tax money at waste) 2) redundancy in work by policing dept and code enforcement (again tax money wasted, lets trim the fat) 3) alternative motive in enforcing the removal of the sign, poor utilization of a skilled employee (oh yeh once again wasted tax revenue). You are absolutely right if the sign was about race to cure diabetes it would never have been reported but then again it probably would not have been removed either. -
by the way when it comes to my money its never a LMAO moment

illegally placed sign or not, this is a WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED TAX DOLLAR AND YOURS!!!!, why is a well compensated police officer removing signs? , I am sure the local code enforcer could handle this task, considering the proximity to NYC and the population density of this town I am certain there were better utilization of this gentleman's time and skill set, I see nothing here but politics

not sure I would congratulate this officer for a good job, I would hope both your and my tax dollars spent on his salary would utilize his time for crimes requiring an armed officer, I would think something like this could've been handled by a code enforcer, sad day in NYS, particularly when his superiors are justifying his actions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Hunter/Game Warden relationships
fu2lmao replied to DeerLogic's topic in Advertisers / Site Sponsors Area
I have a bad taste from law enforcement growing up in NYC, the Guilliani times were ridiculous and harassment at its worst, I gotta say since moving to CNY 10 yrs ago I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with law enforcement just doing their job, my last interaction with a game warden was earlier this month, I was shooting my 22 with my bro on my land near the border with state land, the officer stopped over and I was thinking oh geez here we go he's gonna get all SAFEACT on me and start checking mag capacity etc (we were legal by the way), it turned out he stopped because he wanted to know where I was able to get my ammo as he couldn't find 22LR anywhere, I gave him a contact and offered him a box as I had plenty, of course he turned it down, we chatted, he thanked me and was on his way, glad to see a personable officer protecting the resources of our state -

thanks everyone for the great input, I spoke to a few neighbors and all suggested not to buy a tractor as I could borrow theirs whenever I needed one, I have been checking out the Kubota's for a while, I like there reputation but I don't find their design aesthetically pleasing ( I know this shouldn't be a factor), I am partial to the JD and Polaris Rangers (mostly for looks as otherwise have no experience with them), my land has a lot of hilly, rocky areas (foothill of the ADK's), WNYB did you get to test the 900 on a hilly area?

congrats!!!, I never win stuff except 4 yrs ago on the same day I joined a local rod and gun club I entered a raffle and won the pot which was about $650, felt good to win but I ended up donating it back to the club as the raffle was a fund raiser and as the newbie I felt guilty keeping it, congrats again

think she is now having second thoughts, she is used to me bring home nice finely cut and packaged game but tonight I brought home a nice fresh quarter hind from a doe we harvested yesterday, the look on her over privileged face was priceless, hope she stills goes through with it as the more I consider it the more I think we would enjoy

some great input, thanks all, after reading these I am thinking city folks should not play with tractors, while I would love to do the tractor thing I am thinking I will hire this part out to a local farmer and maybe buy a utv to keep up with maintenance, or even better just get both, we all gotta learn at somepoint

thanks again, I have owned this piece for 2+ yrs, this will be my 3rd season hunting it, successful each year and at the same spot, you lost me on windmapping, doesn't wind direction change with weather???? or are your referring to the counter of the land and the natural wind direction, sorry about the basic questions but I am learning and very fascinated with all this, I agree with you its not a sprint and don't want to rush it but want to get it right the first time, do you know of any consulting services for this? I contacted the DEC for guidance earlier this year to ask the same, as expected they were not very helpful unless I was willing to open it up to the public( fully understand why)

not to beat on you for this one but: 1) its a firearm not a weapon, unless you intend on attacking something (the only time you will ever hear me be PC, don't use libtard verbage to support their cause, sorry liberals I will make it up to you April 15th as I do every year) 2) you and a friend were chuckling? really? no need to elaborate on this one with that said we all make dumb mistakes, I almost lopped off a few fingers a 3 weeks ago when I got careless with a crossbow on my range, hope we both learned something from our experience

thanks G-Man, your input is appreciated, the pond was more for fishing etc but I figured it could double as a water source, how do you feel about a food plot where the pastures and trees meet?

I am looking for some suggestions on development of my land from the QDM guru's. I have read up a lot on it and plan to start the project this spring. My plans are to develop an extensive trail system throughout the 170+ acres. To the left and back of my land there is a roughly 900 acre reforestation state owned land that does not receive a lot of attention due to huge nearby state forest lands (ADK). To the right I have access to another 155+ acres which is basically mature forest with the front being pastures. The front 20 acres of my land is pastures currently used for beef cattle. The surrounding farms are mostly cattle farms. As you can see from the areal shots there is a decent sized trout creek that runs through it. I plan on adding a 1-2 acre pond and placing a blue spruce wall along the road frontage for extra privacy. My main questions are: Where would you guys suggest placing food plots in ? Where should I develop the trail system ? I will likely be hiring this work out to local farmers as I live a couple of hours away but will do the maintenance myself. I prefer to get it done right the first time

LOL Pygmy, she's a manhater but definitely would like to mount that rack

I have some land bout 30miles from Cranberry Lake. There is definitely a bear population in that general area. I have also heard Fort Drum has a decent population. By the way I live in the Cuse burbs as well. As far as bear hunting tips cant help you as I have never targeted the species. I can tell you I have seen a couple of bears while turkey hunting this past spring but no rhyme or reason why there were in the area as both times they were just crossing some pasture areas.

Locks slow them down by minutes Shoot first: well you are in NYS and here well the criminal is the victim, a product of his society and your tax dollars should be spent on rehabilitating this unfortunate soul, you sir are the evil law abiding gun owner Until there are actual penalties and accountability for committing a crime this behavior won't stop.
