  1. I'm sure this sentiment will keep you warm after the next attack..and the next...and the next and so forth. One day you might realize that was is going to befall us has nothing to do with individuals
  2. ZeroHedge Fringe? Someone has just come out from under their rock
  3. Times Square Terrorist Planned Attack For Years, Told Police "Motive Was Revenge" http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-12-11/nypd-responding-explosion-port-authority-subways-evacuated
  4. I'm taking about the relentless, daily attacks from certain sectors that are just now becoming a feature of many European nations. A culture war, a war of ideology and religion such as we haven't seen for centuries, inside our own borders and not in some far away dusty land we get to cheer on while slugging on crappy beer with a TV dinner balanced on the gut
  5. There is a way, but it won't be popular. Eventually, when enough US blood has been spilled, the people will demand it and the authorities will either acquiesce or declare martial law for their own safety
  6. Sweden's world famous lib-tard tolerance is back firing in a serious way. There has been a slate of bombing attacks and rapes and murders there in recent weeks. That country is edging ever closer to civil war or societal breakdown
  7. The Bomber was from Bangladesh. After a crackdown in that country against members of the Jihad terror group , Jamat Islami , Obama opened up the doors and let them come here for sanctuary #DemocratsBeingDemocrats
  8. Many years ago I lived and worked in the UK, London in fact. I was getting bad juju vibes about the place and eventually left. The day after I left the 7-7 bomb attacks occurred. One went off on part of my route to work, at about the time I was usually in the vicinity. I soon gave up life in the Big Cities after that.
  9. Yep...whoever harvests the deer owns the deer. Dems the rules
  10. Just polished off a plate of venison meatballs and mash. Glorious
  11. Designate 2% of all Daks land to be clear cut and turned to meadow, scrub and other forms of edge territory. That would help. Too many damned trees and no forage
  12. No, you said nothing has changed, inferring that this will be the experience for all the nay-sayers. This is untrue and unrealistic. Change is coming, embrace it and adapt is my argument
  13. Competition is fine...unless you are millennial. In which case it is the end of the world as we know it.
  14. Far too soon for this kind of talk. Get back to us in 5-8 years
  15. Errr...wut? I'm not against anything. Just pointing out the realities of change. Change is fine. Just adapt and don't whine is my advice.
  16. Its far too soon to be making such definitive claims. And going forward, common sense tells us more archers will go afield.
  17. If you are trying to argue that xbow hasn't brought or won't bring new hunters into archery season, I have some beachfront property in Montana you might also be interested in. Just one or 2 new hunters on my land borders can and has dramatically effected deer movement in recent years. Its all good tho. It keeps me on my toes. Competition rocks.
  18. Am I not allowed to enjoy my hunting based on your subjective standards?
  19. Its the increased numbers, not the implement. Simple math. The implement is irrelevant I was at the processors this year during Bow. A very large increase in harvest due to xbow. This is what the operator of the facility told me. Its all good tho. Just makes us need to up our game. All part of the fun
  20. That's just your opinion, like you said. Competition in the woods is reality. You also missed the part where I said I enjoy it. Am I not allowed to enjoy my hunting?
  21. It's simple math. XBows = more hunters in your woods chasing the same deer. Someone decried hunting as competition. Hunting is very much a competition between those who do it in a given area versus the deer inhabiting said area. Like I said, simple math. The odds of an individual, any individual, taking a deer with Compound or Xbow goes down when you add more active hunters to the equation. My neighbors hunt aggressively,to the point of trespassing when they can. I embrace that reality. It makes me a better hunter out of necessity in terms of patterning, scouting and placing stands. I enjoy the challenge in fact. Not only am I trying to hunt mature deer, but I am trying to make that happen before anyone else.
  22. The Magnolia dominates if you use too much. I just covered my acorns with an inch or so of water. Distilled . I use the whole acorn btw. Havent tried with just shells
  23. I cracked the acorn casings open a little and threw a bunch of 'em in a pot of purified water. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 or 20 minutes. On some batches I added magnolia seed pods (very strong aroma) and hickory nut pods. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator. It will go moldy if left too long at room temp. Has a sweet aroma when cold. I guess from the starches.
