heres a pic of the buck Cathy Turner took in WNY. i dont know much about it but its huge.

Yes i have killed mank younger deer. but now im looking for older deer by choice i have only been hunting 7 years now im at the point in my hunting career that i need to step it up. i have passed 4 bucks 2 button bucks and 3 small does so far this year all within in 25 yards. hopefully soon i will get an chance at a nice mature buck soon.

my father has been out the past few days. he has been seeing a bunch of smaller bucks. Wed. night he saw a realy nice 10 pointer in the field with 2 does. this weekend should be good for us.

I sat out with my decoy tonight did some light rattling and grunting. no bucks just a small button buck came across the field right under my stand looked at the buck decoy for a few min then took off.

i bought a Primos scar face buck decoy last year i used it only 2 times does hate it but it caught the intrest of 2 bucks but they were weary about coming in on it maybe cause they were much smaller not sure though. i was gonna use it tonight (if it don't rain)with some light ratteling and grunting. ill let ya know.

this guy must have just moved in we havent seen him all year until this past weekend. he'll be realy nice if he can make it through the year. i seen him sunday morning while in my climbing treestand about 70 yards out. he's nice to watch.

Welp......I still have at least 1 mature buck hanging around my land. saddly i think the big 3 1/2 year old 10 point i had my eye on got hit by a car last thursday. so ima turn my attention to this guy. Ill keep ya'll posted on if the 10 realy got hit or not. i did not see the antlers just the huge body with the cut off head right down the street from my fathers land.

Last year i gut shot a buck at 9am monday morning and didnt find the deer till 5pm tuesday evening with the help of deer search.....he was still delicious.

i have not seen bucks chasing yet but my cousin killed a nice 7 pointer on Saturday what was sparing and chasing a doe just before he took it down.

im thinking the 1st buck high 130's maybe 140s second buck maybe 120s.....i dad got an 8 point a few years ago that was 123 1/8 and that 8 ya got there looks a bit smaller but not buy much.

He had 6 doe about 70 yards out right at sunlight. a bit after that to bucks popped out about 100 yards away spared a bit ate a bit for about 30 min. they slowly worked there way closer then stopped and look up the hill behind my cousin. he slowly turned around and 2 doe were behind him. the wind was perfect and the the doe didn't smell a thing. soon as the 2 bucks saw the does they started chaseing them. they ran to about 20 yards away. my cousin passed on the 1st buck which was a small 7 and let the arrow fly on the 2nd. was a bad shot (high) but busted the deers back. he dropped instantly he had to put a few more arrows in him to kill him. Not to shabby for a first buck kill.

i had a butterfly set one of my cameras off before and it looks like you use same camera as me.

Im not 100% sure but wasn't the world record whitetail killed during a deer drive or as Milo Hansen called it "pushin the bush" im not saying that this makes them good or not good but i thought i head that somewhere. i personaly do little pushes with my father on out land and it has and hasnt worked and on the other hand the land next to us the knuckle heads to 10+ man drives on sunday after thanksgiveing and they just tromp around makeing all kinds of racket........i never hear them shoot at anything though.

i put together a video of some of the bucks i hope to be seeing while im hunting this year, all these videos were taken from 10/7/10 through 10/9/10 we had the cameras out for 2 nights and got over 60 videos on there im new to the putting them together thing but i think its a pretty good 1st try. we got some monsters and some goofy ones. i hope you enjoy. bucks_0001.wmv

yeah the big guy seems to notice the camera all the time. the others i got on there it don't seem to bother them. i guess that how the big guys get so big. they always seem to know when something is just a bit off.

yeah I'm pretty sure if he walks past me ima have to take a shot being he would be my biggest buck ever.

The camera is just a few feet off a well used trail. i have tons of pics of does walking through there and some smaller bucks. i do have a few night shots of a real nice 10 point on this trail as well. should be a nice spot i never hunted this spot of my land before.
