-
Yeah but "as it started getting darker" in the woods i hunt i know that sun set is about 6:25pm now out in the field it is still light at that time, but when im hunting in my stand in the woods at this time of the year its really dark in there at about 5:45 with all the leaves still on the trees....any way, conrtatz to everyone hopefully soon ill have a pic on here.

this might be a stupid question, but where in NY can you use a cross bow in Oct? or are you not in NY? -
thanks
-
Outstanding! i love the pic of you with the 2 deer in head lockes . haha
-
i shoot pretty much every day, you never know if you accidently bump your sight or rest,. it happened to my uncle this weekend, he went out and bumped his bow, lucky he didnt see anything cause when he came up, he shot and completly missed the target cause his rest broke.
-
Yeah it is. im kind of a bigger guy so i wanted to make me one that fit my size.
-
Nice, do you hunt that area? my fathers house is on smith road.
-
thats not to far out of the question, land is down by north road in wheatland and my dads neighbor had a bear in his back yard this summer.
-
they are held on by a little rubber O ring, when i walk in and out i sometime bump my arrow on branch or bush and they deploy, i gotta check them all the time to be sure they are set before i shoot. so i can see how a glancing shot off some fur/skin would cause them to open and possibaly spark.

This little buck looks like he got shot in the ass......i say its a sasquatch bite!
-
here are pics of the climber that i built.
-
Great job everyone!
-
i built my own climber and use it in the rain/snow all the time im 260 lb man. feel safer in it then in any other stand i have.
-
i got no problem getting bucks on camera, find a scrape put yourt camera there.
-
I always thought it would be a cool show to have the big name hunters travel around to "normal" hunters lands scout them for a few days then put in a few days hunt to see what they do or do not kill.
-
i posted another video of a different buck that i would love to get a shot at check him out too.
-
he looks like an 8 point but has to little guys near the end of his main beam to make him a 10 i believe. you gotta freeze it at the right stop. hes a beauty thought.
