A good buddy of my boss @ my 2nd job killed this 8 point buck yesterday while his daughter was in the treestand with him. ill try to get more pics but this is the only one i have so far.

I hunt in 8H with my father. the past few years we have been passing on smaller bucks and starting to get nice ones. our biggest so far is my dad got 123 3/8 eight point with his bow.

3.5 looks about right i dont think he would break 120 but close.

he was hitting a scrape that i found. i got a few other smaller bucks hitting same scrape on vid as well

haha yeah there might have been a few Genny Lights comsumed that evening.

me my brother and my cousiin took my boat out out the evening of 6-29 and had a good night. my cousin caught a nice pike. i caught a nice walleye and the three of us combined caught about 30 bass.

here are my favs.

I leave my climber at the base of trees for a few days at a time if i know i will be returning to that spot. the deer dont seem to mind it being there i have even seen a deer walk right up to it and sniff the climber while i was sitting in another stand 120 yards away.

i passed on 6 diff bucks during bow season. my uncle killed 1 of them the rest i was seeing still. i had a chance at a wall hanger on gun opener but i blew it since then i have only seen 1 spike. and a ton of button bucks / doe.

I keep mine out till they drop the antlers then i bring them in. and then put them back out soon as i see the 1st deer of the year growing antlers again.

not a mount but heres a buck we got 2 years ago on my fathers land.

JPP thats a cool little rack. for some reason i like antlers that are not normal. congrats!

yeah it does suck...ima give it another try this weekend i did see the big 10 monday evening was i was pulling out of my fathers driveway walking the hedgerow towards our land. hopefully i'll get another shot at him.

so on saturday morning i got to my stand about 6:00 am and was ready to go. i just shot my gun the night before to make sure my scope was on which it was i shot about 10 times and was good every time. at about 7:10 i seea deer. its a doe. i dont shoot cause there is a bigger deer behind her...another doe 7 doe came in to about 20 yards then all of a sudden scattered. a big 10 that i had on trail cam comes charging in..this is it i think to myself. he chases a bit then starts walking around. ok im gonna shoot him soon as he clears that tree im thinking i set up her he comes...BANG!!! he stands there...BANG he hops off i lose sight of him not sure if i hit him so i sit....a few min later there he is again following a do looks like i miss. he walks off. 10 min latere herw comes another buck a big wide 8 i have on trail cam. walking right to me...i think aging soon as h passs that tree im crush him at 40 yards....BANG he just stands there...BANG hes pretty much laughing at me.....BANG i finaly hit him he runs right at me to 15 yards.....CLICK......OMG i forgot to reload after shooting at the 1st deer. he snorts and runs off. i give him about an hour. i go check the 1st deer nothing like i thought so i head over to the 2nd. pick up the blood trail which is a red carpted i follow that for about 85 yards then nothing the last blood was a puddle about 4 feet in dia......i cant find this deer anywhere. me my father and my cousinf look from about 9:45 till 2:30 notthing at all..others hunters havent seen anything. later that day i head back to the range only to find out my gun was shooting 18 inches right which means i would have gut shot the buck.....i must had bumped it and didnt know from the night before...i resight it in and guess im gonna give it another shot. just suck i couldnt find that deer he was a wall hanger in my eyes. i called deer search but havent heard from them. i can onmly hope that deer walked past another hunter who killed him

i made my own climber at my shop. i looked at the viper and a few others took ideas from each that i liked drew it up and use aluminum laying around the shop had our welder weld it up together. its very nice i'll take it out set it up and post pictures of it. it only weighs 24 pounds. holds me pretty good im kind of a big guy 248 lbsi use it almost every time i go out which is 3-4 times a week and i feel very safe in it. but remember no matter how high ya go 5 feet or like me 25-30 feet use safty harness.

I hunt 8h. just seen chasing so far not real big activity yet. where abouts in 8h are ya?

i dont have any mounted but i make all the deer i get into skulls. i'll go home and get some pics of my fav. one.

nice looking deer....that is a hard one to let walk specialy during bow season.

I have seen this guy 3 times so far this season....2 times in range....if he keeps coming to see me in my stand ima have to take him down. hahahaha

not sure where its from i heard about it on the Bee Morning Coffey club this morning.
