  1. Awesome pictures. Wow, 8 pups plus mom is 9 yotes. You need to get someone to run some dogs to control the population there.
  2. All I did if the wind was calm was pull up the farm driveway and park about a hour before dark and just kick back and listen. I also just drive around on the roads in the National Forest find a nice spot and just pull over and park and listen. On a calm evening when those birds gobble up on the ridge you can hear them from a 1/2 mile away.Sometime, I do get out and walk alittle, but I have spooked birds before that where alittle late going to bed.
  3. I have noticed that turkeys seem to have wised up compared to 20 years ago. The stuff and trick and cheap decoys seem to work 20 years ago, don't seem to work as much as they used to. I think with more turkey hunters out messing and calling birds all the time. Has really wised the birds up.
  4. I was like do I really want to spend $180 for a pair of decoys, After seeing them I just had to have them. May add another hen or a strutting tom later, but he is $120 bucks.
  5. I bought a pair of new decoys last night. I pulled the trigger on a Avian X LCD Jake & Breeding hen. These decoys look amazing. Hope to have some good results in s few days.
  6. Well just found out, you can still build a AR15 in NY if it has not evil features. You can install the HammerHead, and the company has consulted with James Tresmond. NEW YORK STATE CUSTOMERS: We have confirmed with the state of New York via our attorney (Tresmond Law of Hamburg NY) that a rifle with our Hammerhead AR-15 Stock Adapter when permanently attached to the rifle and with a buttstock attached to the rear threads of this product (Type I or Type II config) and no other NY-SAFE prohibited features is considered a sporting rifle and no registration under NY-SAFE would be required. Permanence can be achieved by simply epoxying the Hammerhead Stock Adapter to your rifle. https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/exile-machine-hammerhead-ar-15-stock-adapter-1.html
  7. I used to have a locator called the Screaming Peacock and that seemed to work everytime.
  8. I love being self employed as I can hunt every single morning. Hopefully the weather is alittle better then youth season, so I can get my daughter he birds.
  9. Yea, but James Tresmond has the proof in his hand now, as the judge signed the orders to give him access to them.
  10. Well, this report shows the NYS really over stepped everything !!!!!!! I think we be looking at Bye-Bye to alot of people in the NY Goverment Buffalo, NY (WBEN) In State Supreme Court, the attorney for a man whose pistol permit was temporarily revoked says records from the Erie County Clerk's office were unsealed. Jim Tresmond says the records show State Police had their man, his client in their sights all along. Tresmond says Judge Russell Buscaglia signed the subpoena order to have Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs hand over the records regarding David Lewis, Tresmond's client. "The records reflect the New York State Police had Mr. Lewis' name, date of birth, pistol permit application, date of birth, mental health history," says Tresmond. "The notion the State Police simply provided Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs with a name and age range and required Jacobs to do due diligence was patently false." Tresmond notes Jacobs was fully cooperative with him during this matter, and now will take what he calls "quite condeming" evidence toward a civil matter against the state and State Police for gross negligence. "The state not only denied Mr. Lewis his property rights and due process, but slandering him and defaming him as being mentally incompetent," explains Tresmond. "Never in my lifetime have I seen an entire state administration so negligent and delinquent in the performance of their duties." http://www.wben.com/Attorney--Records-Show-State-Police-Targeted-Man-f/16137623
  11. I just read the CNN report on the Canadian Bomb plot. One thing that sticks out in the news article is that this plot was foiled THE DAY that Canada's parliament debated an anti-terrorism bill.
  12. You need to pattern your gun, and figure out your range of shooting. You need to know your area. I was once in my own woods, calling 4 gobblers in, I passed on the 3 jakes waiting for the long beard, and these birds where fired up. What happened next about killed me. Some idiot, hunting where is was not supposed to be ,heard the birds, and sneaked in and shot at the 3 jakes that where at 10 yards from me. Needless to say, I was very pissed of person after that.
  13. I think this is a tough one. Well I know the government is trying to throw out the Constitution on us, but if they pull the crap that he does not have to be read his Miranda rights, where is the next step or place that the government tries to do that.
  14. Cabin, I hope your blind stays put with this wicked wind we are getting right now. I am going to try and roost a gobbler tonight for my daughter in the morning.
  15. Now the snakes have slithered out of the grass. http://fishgame.com/gunnews/?p=1548
  16. They had .223, 9mm, .40 and .38 earlier today. They had quite a bite of it. They also has lots of rifle ammo 30-06, 270. Limit of 3 boxes total now.
  17. I may go to this show. I guess it all depends how youth turkey seasons goes with my daughter.
  18. I used to roost bird all the time. I don't do it as much as I used to. Over the years, I have setup really close to birds.
  19. I know if you have a wheel bearing going bad on the front of truck (just my experience with Chevy/GMC/Fords), your ABS light will come on, and your abs will kick in. Alot of time it really does it when you are turning really slow in to say a parking spot, the abs kicks in.
  20. Like I said before when someone is determined to something evil, they will find a way to do it.
  21. Parker and Bow tech both make grow with me bows. You can upgrade the limbs for heavier poundage over the years. I bought my daughter the Parker over the Bow Tech as one downside of the Bow Tech was you have to send it back to the company to upgrade the limbs, and the Parker you can do at your local bow shop.
  22. Well they not longer have any 11-22 Rugers, because I was up that way and bought it. I got it for $289, because it was missing the rail to mount the scope. They do have a special target one for $819 left, and some boxes of special 22lr for $25 a box..
  23. My buddy added a pistol to his permit in Tompkins and the person he talked to said the time frame has was only a couple months. In Jan it took him 3 weeks to add a pistol to his permit, but only 5 days just last week to add one. You will get the hunting and target shooting permit, as they don't give out concealed much.
