  3. Oh...and Hunting October Whitetails....one of the best hunting videos ever.
  4. I had to chime in on this topic. We are a NY based video group with team members from across the state. 95% of our hunting will take place right here in NY or on the NY/PA border for those members who have permission/properties in both states. We are truly passionate with our video production and quality is growing every day. Like us, there are a number of other small groups out there as well that we hope to help showcase their videos from the North East as well on a new website we started called www.nehuntingtv.com. In our video's, our goal is to portray our hard work and determination to score on a mature animals in New York along side helping to manage a healthy heard. Check our website out at www.venaticoutdoors.com or shoot us a PM here if you have any questions or suggestions on our videos.
  5. Glad to hear it! It seems like a lot of people enjoy the fact that we're from the state and they can relate - we're not traveling to different regions of the country to do the hunting, so we know what everyone in the Northeast is up against. No matter what happens, even if some of us travel, we'll always make sure we always do the core of our hunting in this region. Thanks again! Dinner offer?
  6. haha man thanks guys! it's always been my dream to be the lead on the super bowl let me know what everyone there thinks of it!
  7. Glad to hear it - we know there's some work to be done but it's nice to see positive feed back for our first DVD ever!
  8. All good stuff! I'm getting the itch pretty bad already.
  9. Oh the anticipation is killing you! Did you get the confirmation email that it was sent?
  10. I heard a rumor that the designer or engineer from New Breed Archery that released those awesome bows is now over at Winchester making their bows.
  11. I'm good with the May 1 opener - the DEC has done an excellent job managing the turkey population in this state. I think an all day hunt could be beneficial but I'm not sure I would take advantage - afternoon's are reserved for food plots and timber stand improvement for me!!
  12. They're in the mail - shouldn't take more than two days to get to you!
  13. Shot several at the Syracuse show - the new PSE Dream Season Evo shot well. Mathews are Mathews (aka great), the Bowtech Invasion got mixed reviews and the Hoyt Carbon Element is a very smooth shooting bow. I wouldn't hesitate to look at the Elite Hunter, Darton Mach 1, or the New Breed Genetix if you are looking for something different. These last three of some of the three smoothest drawing bows around this year.
  14. Yea - the non-carbon Hoyt bows are not 1200 - he is referring to the Carbon Element. I shot a Darton at a show a few weeks ago and was amazed at the way it drew and shot - one of the better bows I have shot. I also wouldn't overlook some of the lesser known companies like Elite Archery and New Breed Archery. The next bow I buy is most likely going to be the New Breed Genetix - it retails at 719 and has an IBO rating of 343fps. From what I have heard, it is very easy to tune as well.
  15. Hopefully the anticipation makes it better!
  16. Wow all these great words! We're going to keep pushing to do the brunt of our hunting in NYS - the support we've received at the shows has been outstanding. wWe put out a shipment on Thursday but have been at the show since then, if you ordered one after it will go out Monday morning first-class. Sorry for the delay Geno! I'm barely staying awake for the drive from Rochester after standing and talking to people for 9 hours!
  17. Thanks a lot! You'll enjoy it, I promise. Plus, doesn't hurt to know a few Rochester guys handle the production.
  18. I would consult your local proshop about what broadheads to use. I use Redhead Gator XPs for deer and turkey - for turkey in particular, I like a big cutting broadhead that will penetrate the bird and stick in it if necessary. We have one turkey bow kill on our DVD this year and it was shot with a Spitfire - the bird didn't make it far (maybe a few yards) before expiring. The nice thing about birds is that, because of the feathers, you can guarantee that the blades will open. But, if your nephew is young and not drawing much weight, Spitfires may not be the best option for penetration.
  19. I've been counting the days down since the last week of deer season! And, once turkey season comes, I'll be counting the days down until deer season haha
  20. Yes - we have one guy that does the editing and then one guy who does website/marketing work.
  21. No, we have our inventory in - just arrived on Monday. We're shipping first class so the timing should be fair as well. I'll be shipping our first order out tomorrow afternoon!!
  22. This is hugely appreciated! It's our first year so they'll only get better too! Please let me know what you think after you watch it!
