    just goes to show you that passing up smaller bucks does have its benefit, may take a few years but it will pay off in the end. props to you and your pops for being able to stick to it without killing a buck for years. i know im going crazy not killing one for the last 5 years.

    been hearing reports of good amounts of chasing all over the westchester area, some wood patches get it more than others so it may be hit or miss, they are on their feet during the day time tho. Buddy this morning hunting in 3S said his resident doe with 2 fawns was absent this morning and the 2 fawns where feeding alone. Some breeding is taking place. Other buddy watched a buck breed a doe in front of his stand last weekend.

    second this the thumb release made my grouping much better and not having a release to worry about banging into anything on the stand or blind is a great piece of mind.

    a buddy of mine had a friend kill a nice 8 on opening weekend right at the start of the peninsula, like they said go in deep right now, Look for oaks dropping acorns, rubs and scrapes started popping up last week in westchester in my area. the watershed property in putnam isnt bad but it gets alot of pressure. put in the time and you will be rewarded.
