  1. howdy, another westchester guy here, where abouts in 3s do u hunt?
  2. buddy shot a 421 this year he looks about the same size bears are hard to judge but none the less he's def 400 and would not let him walk by me without sending an arrow or bullet his way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. def pushing 400 nice bear
  4. i read somewhere that a cluster of rubs indicates the center of a bucks range and when they are rubbed in a line that is indicating the boarded of his home range, like said above i usually always see these clusters of rubs right next to a food source.
  5. I was under that impression too on a side note chase is on in 3s watched 3 does feed to 25 all the sudden hell breaks loose and an 8 is running one of them all over place this goes on for a few mins before he chases her in the distance where I couldn't see there was no way I was stopping him he had one thing on his mind Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. there on the move here in 3s just had a small 6 come in directly behind me at 50 yards nose to the ground and no interest in a bleat or grunt nice to see my first deer in 2 weeks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. calm and cool here in 3s hope to see some movement today last 2 weeks has been dead here for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. sounds exactly how my season has gone in 3s they've been eluding me for weeks it's frustrating Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. nice work esp after how season started for you lets see some picsSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. horrible start to my morning I left all my gear outside to air out woke up everything was soaked had to throw it in the drier for 20 mins get to my stand late bumped a deer walking in and all I've seen so far was a raccoon, beautiful cold foggy morning tho Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. back in the stand where I saw the buck tear up a scrape last night, hope he shows again I will be more prepared this time. it's warm 61 very light breeze Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. grey light let my bow down about to climb down the tree making a bunch of noise I hear the leaves rustle look to my right buck is coming in hot lights up a scrape hangs around for a few minutes and leaves couldn't make out the rack but I only have 2 bucks on cam over 1.5 years old so I'm thinking it was one of the 8s, do 1.5 have the instinct to scrape the ground or are they still trying to figure out what the hell is going on inside there body's? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. sitting in the climber I moved this morning over an aggressive scrape line one of which I kno was hit last night and another one which was made this morning when he snuck behind me at 10 yards completely silent, hoping to ambush him this afternoon when he least expects it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. headed in this morning put a drag out and a little estrous in a fresh scrape and sat maybe 60 yards from it see a set of legs but couldn't see anything else head out and there's a new scrape 20 yards from my car which means he snuck 10 yards behind me without making a peep cuz there's only one route in and out and I was 200 yards from my car, moved my climber this morning and sitting in my new set this afternoon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. that doesn't sound like a bad idea might need a spotlight tho, I'm no expert tracker but I think a second set of eyes allowing you to cover more ground will turn up a dead deer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I'm only busting balls no need to be on the defense we all miss one time or another Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. the range for some additional practice... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I say local cuz it's near red hook less than an hour away a buddy of mine has family up there he gets it for me, I can find out the name if you'd like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. winds are swirling like crazy here in 3s got some fresh estrous from a local farm lets hope the wide 8 slips up today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. me too bring on the pics! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. your arrow weights approx. 279 grains @ 30" with a 100 grain head your at 379 grains, you need to go get some new arrows and be around 500 grains minimum for shooting an animal that large, FPS has nothing to do with the penetration and KE you will get out of a heavy arrow. At your current setup your arrow will likely bounce off a bison. Go on Archery talk and do some research regarding arrow weight and big game animals.
  23. interesting theory i was going to say how can they kill glen. and wtf happens with rick man next eopisode i hope picks up where it left off with them and doesnt go back behind the walls.
  24. when I got out of the stand yesterday I decided to do a little speed scouting found they abandoned the active scrapes on the oak and found 3 fresh ones about 75 yards away from my stand went a little deeper in on the boarder of neighboring property and found this beauty dead head main frame 8 with double drop tines, seems to be a coyote kill cuz the teeth are not worn out like I'd expect from a deer that would have died of old age Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. light rain and 51 here little breezy didn't bump on deer walking in so as soon as this rain lets up they should be back on there feet hoping to get a look at the wide 8 today Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
