I voted full inclusion. I like the choice. I will still use my compound and my crossbow and my shotgun and my muzzleloader.... I like the choice. It always amazes me how many people are so concerned how somebody else harvests a deer. Worry how you get your own lol! My biggest peeve was my son had to sit out hunting with the compound for two years because he was a real small kid and could not handle the weights I felt comfortable with him to hunt with. So a new 14 yo hunter not being able to hunt except the two weeks of crossbow. A good way to loose the young recruits we are trying so hard to gain. He is plenty big enough now, he grew about 10 inches in height this past year lol. But what a loss missing two plus months of hunting opportunity for a 14-15 yo kid.

I pretty much free wheel it. I hardly ever measure anything except by sight. I did post a recipe on a chili thread here though that pretty much covers it. I've also taken a liking to using ground and cut up chunked both together, it adds better texture.

I can imagine what the streams look like. A foot and a half of snow melt in the last week and been raining for two days straight!! I know there is some flooding going on.

I have a Marlin 338 in 30-30. I hunted the Adirondacks every opening weekend from 16 years old for over a decade. All we used were lever guns. Once a couple of my areas around home went rifle I hunt with mine a bit every year. A couple years ago I took a buck with it freehand on a power line at 187 yards. Those new polymer tip rounds can shoot!! Not like the old lead noses. If you use them though aim for shoulder bone because otherwise that tip lends that bullet to zip right through without expanding.
