Anyone that calls, writes or implies that the individuals in the capital yesterday were patriotic or Patriots just might be guilty of sedition. That's not to say that there wasn't patrotic, albeit misinformed individuals at the protest, however those sure as hell weren't the losers breaking into the capital, destroying property and fighting with the police.

Quite frankly I never discussed it on here. Not sure why I would need to condemn the indefensible acts of malcontents and law breakers. On the other hand a President that incites violence and had no regard for our democratic republic is VERY worthy of condemnation. It doesn't bother you in the least that your trying to justify what took place yesterday?

Show me where I didn't or condoned any rioting or lawlessness? In fact I had very little discussion of political topics on this site, be cause quite frankly its waste of time with debasing themselves with tribalism. I stand by what I said. No wrongs that took place this year justified what took place yesterday at our capital, nor justify how the president has acted to incite this.

At this point in time, which for me a is commulaition of seeing both these parties act and govern poorly over the last 43 of my existence not much. I am hopeful that some semblance of commonality can start to be reestablished. For example after watching the debate on the Senate floor for 4 hours last night one can take away that there are still a lot of people that believe in the people and institutions that this county is built upon. Policy wise, I will have issues and disagreements with this incoming administration just like have with every previous one.

I am in agreement with him, and Mattas isnt alone in this belief. And yet you will have Trump cultists denouncing mattas or anyone that speaks out against reprehensible tactics as a traitor ect. It's insane.

Maybe if you had something other than whataboutisms we can have a meaningful conversation. Nothing that took place this year justified what happened yesterday nor excused the president's actions that incites this. The same way that none of the past actions excused nor justified the roiting and looting and lawlessness that took place early in the year.

And the same people that calling for law and order were not desecrating the capital and undermining the citizens of united states and their republic that represents them. Whataboutism doesn't work. Its intellectually vacant and in this case morally wrong.

If you think whataboutism somehow softens or justifies what took place yesterday and has been incited by the president since before any ballots where cast, then I suggest some serious self introspection is in order. And I said the same about anyone justifying the looting and riots regardless of why they started the response was wrong.. In this case the president of the county has undermining the very institutions and premises it would founded on. and quite frankly I have watched over the last two years some Americans, some that I think highly of, act in cult like defense of the indefensible.
