  1. Trump and his ever dwindling circle the people are destroying the electoral process at this point. They been laughed out of every court they filed in, by his own appointments no less. The real losers in all this are the poor saps that are still hanging on the coat tails of trump's mummers farce. Youd think they would learn with all the examples of the past four years smacking them in their face. Trump turns on everyone he is associated with except himself, as witnessed by the listed of his cohorts that he tossed anchors to to sink. And his most recent disparaging comments about his SCOUS appointments.
  2. I agree, I haven't seen anything slow down at all. When the dealers started dropping orders because they didnt want to float note for new cars that may not sell because of the situation, it didnt matter that plants were able to stay open. There wasn't the orders there anyway. Couple that with supply line problems or rather anticipated problems that never materialized and you had perfect storm for moving used cars that were already on lots.
  3. Used cars where at a premium for two reasons. First, consumer confidence was way down earlier, that translated to increased demand for less expensive vehicles. Secondly with new production stalled because of shut downs new inventory was at an all time low, needless to say that shifted demand to pre owned. To a lesser extent we also seen increased inventory of used vehicles flooding metro markets. People that never had intentions of buying a car where now shut out from public transportation....found themselves turning their train and bus cards into car payments. Personally I think its terrible time to buy any vehicle, new or used. I would wait for dust to settle.

  5. Take a look at the last 5 years or so of the NYS deer harvest summery, that should narrow your search down considerably
  6. I would do it, especially if it's a negligible amount and I would not make it complicated or a big issue with many stipulations. Pitch the money in, let it happen then after a good relationship and foundation is established between the parties involved then expand and build on it. The access is worth more then say a fourth of this project is ...so the money is no brainer even if you indirectly benefit.
  7. I have a viper and lone wolf sit and climb. Viper is easier to climb with and more comfortable seated. The lone wolf packs way better and is more quite. Both set up easy. If i had to keep one it would be the lone wolf .
  8. I had a set of wet okies for years, they held up great. They made them to fit the truck seats they looked good
  9. Jalapeno cheddar Venison sausage. 20 pounds in the freezer and 60 pounds of various sausage coming soon.
  10. Ohio kills more deer during their archery seasons then their firearm season. They have 5 day shotgun season and 4 day MZ season. I tell you what. I will trade the use of crossbows in NY archery season wide, for a 5 day statewide rifle season and 4 day muzzle loader season. I have feeling that wont go over well with some of this crowd. A common denominator with wholesale cross bow use during archery seasons is increased harvest rates, due to increased efficacy . For Some resources that non issue, however for others it is. Add those sucess rates and increased the in pressure spread out the whole archery season. Now couple that with two buck tags, then add in one or the longest firearms season in the country ...and what you get is diminished quality hunting experience for everyone, not just archers.
  11. Your so off base that it isnt funny. It had nothing to with ethics or sportsmanship and all to do with providing opportunity. The ample time (opportunity) that is available on a limited resource, meaning our archery season and our deer herd only be maintained by the lack of success that comes from using the weapon, ie bow. The less success the more opportunities that can be afforded to the greater number of people if you keep adding increasingly effective weapons you will have to limit either the allocation of time or tags. Crossbows like firearms dont belong in an archery season because of efficacy not eitics.
  12. Most crossbows users have and had no intrest in archery or bow hunting until we gave them a weapon that functions and resembles a firearm in scope and function. The same guys would be out during the archery with there 06s if it were legal. They have no place during archery seasons. If you want to participate and bow hunt, use a bow no one is stopping you
  13. NY, Utah, Pa and NH here .... I dumped Florida as rarely travel there any more since my family sold out property's down there. NH was very easy as was PA
  14. No doubt there are several variables involved. I was giving examples to illustrate that that has been going on successfully for decades in other states. By all means needs to be administered with public's needs and location taking into consideration. It would make no sense to lease / open private land say in the catskill park with its already ample public access. However like you pointed it it may make sense in an area that no little to no public land.
  15. There are several states that have successful block/ walk in areas administered by their DNR that allow public access to hunt on private property. Some states actually lease the land for a predetermined time. We arent reinventing the wheel with this. If there is money in the budget for public access this a workable solution. However one can also argue that funds for a program like this should be used for the enhancement of public land that the state in fact owns. With the exception of Montana and SD you tend to see private walk in areas for public access in states that have very little public land.
  16. I bowhunt throughout the regular season. You must however use your regular season tag or a DMP.
  17. Is there something wrong with you? Do you just make up arguments in your head and project them on other people because it sounds good to you?
  18. Buddy your off the rails. You keep making up bullshit arguments who's only truths are in your own mind, the same place your made up numbers come from. Keep making those strawmen
  19. Yea, broken up doesn't stop my neighbors from killing them. They can have three one inch nubs left and they will shoot em. Pretty sad.
  20. You keep spouting bullshit made up % of hunters that take two bucks. However it's not listed in the yearly harvest report. In fact you cant even get your total buck kill numbers correct. Because the number your spewing is wrong. Seems like you might want to check you information. Here is a tip. Google New York state deer harvest summy and the year. It comes up as a PDF. For example in 2019...the buck take was 113K plus. Your a little off .....
  21. One buck any season would be a good move for improving the quality and age structure of our buck population.
  22. We Been preparing public comments since it came came out. -For the change of legal hunt hunting time to dawn to dusk -for the additional season dates - For uniform age of 12 -against any and all futher inclusion of crossbow and firearms during the archery season. -totaly against the sale of wildlife harvested. Market hunting was disaster and goes against the NA model of wildlife conservation. -tatally against the rescinding of ECL § 11-0914.
