  1. A-freakin'-lot. It will easily hold all my camo (ghillie suit, scent lok stuff, smaller stuff), my Tree Saddle, Guido's Web, etc. I keep my boots separate as I like to put them on a boot dryer between use.
  2. I think it is 24 x 24 x 36, but I'll have to check when I get home.
  3. An antlered doe would most likely still be in velvet. It's not uncommon for droptines and/or dropbeams to reatain shreds of velvet because of the way the antler bone grows. A lot of the time the ends become engorged with blood because of gravity, resulting in softer, more porous bone which seems to have a hard time shedding velvet. This is most likely the result of an injury. I would let him be and see what he turns into- the idea of "culling" to improve the genetics is the biggest farce in deer hunting.
  4. I bought this tote/storage box at Home Depot the other day because my current hunting clothes box is stuffed, plus this new one has a gasket already around the top. After I bought it I realized my bow would fit under the lid. I spent a couple of hours on is yesterday and here are the results. The only points of contact are 1) the pieces of rubber (used milking inflations) that are screwed to the 1" pine, 2) the strap that secures the bow and 3) the 1/4" bolts (covered with rubber tubing) that protruded through the lid and match the holes in the riser. Holds the bow rock solid. The box is very spacious- I had to climb in it with a flashlight and close the lid in order to mark the lid clearance and I'm 6', 195#. I also added a removable storage tray for little stuff. The only thing left to do is put some wheels on one end and she's done.
  5. My little brother was about 8 years old when he was riding his bike from our house down to the farm about 1/2 mile away. The trail crossed a couple of standing cornfields. Halfway through the 2nd one he suddenly heard something crashing through the corn towards him. This was a boy's worst nightmare come true! Panicking, he pedaled faster but the animal matched his speed. Presently, a body flew through the air and WHAM! -knocked him clean off his bike. He landed with the creature on top of him in a tangled mess of cornstalks. He swears he still isn't sure whom was screaming louder; him or the spotted fawn.
  6. My Uncle spotted a 10 pt with his antlers stuck in a hammock hanging in someone's yard. He, my dad, and I cut the deer free. It was a real "hands on" experience.
  7. I hate to break it to you: coyotes and foxes do not mate! It is simply a red color phase coyote, nothing more, nothing less.
  8. 4 or better. You're correct about his chest- it's deeper than his hind end.
  9. It is an injury. This happens to our cows occasionally. The vertebrae have processes that protrude up from the spinal column. One or more of these were broken off at some point but clearly doesn't affect her mobility.
  10. Super sportsman includes everything except bow and muzzleloader. They are an additional $250 each
  11. Phade- all of my clover looks like this right now. I'll take a picture before I clip it tonight. The OP's fawn looks like every newborn fawn I've ever encountered. That thing is tiny- the only thing you compare it to is the clover and it's eyes are smaller than any of the leaves. If it was more than a week old it wouldn't still be laying there.
  12. My brother's dog brought in a newborn that still had it's umbilical cord attached several years ago in CT on August 31st.
  13. How did you age the last one? I would have guessed the lopsided buck to be the oldest. He sure is a cool looking deer.
  14. Thanks Belo- I was pretty lucky for a couple of years. It will be tough to top them but it won't be for lack of trying...
  15. 166 gross, 141 net, 2006 164 gross, 153 net, 2008
  16. He'll have to do a lot of stumbling to get from where he is now to where you will be hunting...
  17. Either or. I would not pass a deer I believed to be 5. They don't come by often.
  18. Sounds too wild to be rehearsed. I wish there was a video of it!
  19. Had this whacky rack show up in CT.
