Awesome Buck Congrats
-
I have never been a fan of deer drives but I do think they get the deer moving good I used to put a stand on an ajoining of a pice of property that got pushed hard was a great spot for a stand problem with that now is my area virtually has no hunters anymore
-
White muzzled, pink nosed, white footed buck with one horn..

exactly what I thought too -
Hoyt300 I know what you are saying & I agree this is why we hunt 8N during bow season now almost nobody in the woods then
-
Nice Buck Congrats
-
Doc Wish I knew you were looking for one 2 weeks ago I would have brought the .308 with me to Naples for you to try
-
well I get the Rugers cheap & I do love the way they shoot. I just can't get over the new American & how they can build it here for the price they do & still have a high quality rifle
-
.308 would be my choice also it is what I Purchased for my 14 year old daughter & I fell in love with it I was shooting a .270 the issue with .270 is you never know the recoil with them my first .270 M77 wood stock would feel like my shoulder was going to blow off my .270 M77 allweather is about half the weight & recoil doesn't feel half as bad look at the Ruger American. GREAT GUN for the price I will be using it now more then my .270
-
Congrats Gmil
-
also agree with Oneida of course it depends on your bow I have a 20,30,40 &50 yard pin mine does not shoot much different from 10-20 yards
-
using my Ruger M77 .270 130 grain Federals open area hunting & my Ruger American .308 150 grain federals for thicker woods hunting
-
Yes I did we ended up with 3 Bucks this one being the best one most deer we have ever seen & it was about 50/50 buck/does already booked for next year Thanks for the info geno Congrats on the 2) 7 pointers
-
finally got the pics from my holloween 8 pointer he is my best bow kill to date
-
get the new one & sell it I owned 2 of these cameras last year both went back for replacements 3 times each Yes I got new cameras everytime but cost me in the end more in shipping then the cameras were worth (2) replacements didn't work right out of the box. they even upgraded me to their compact 6.0 mp cameras which I promptly sold on ebay & purchased the Moultrie D55IR's will NEVER buy another wildgame product again everyone I know who has had wgi products have crapped out on them just an FYI & good luck with the replacements if you keep them
-
MY 2) 8N permits Gone to ShawnHu
-
That is what I thought & just seems more of an an Idiot when it is clearly posted
-
this may be a stupid question as I am from NH & here if it is not posted you can legally hunt it without permission but if asked or told to leave you must do so when in NY we only hunt State land but I was under the assumption posted or not you need written permission I personally in No way hunt without it even here in NH
-
yup & now way are they that big anyone really look at the pic's come ON those deer fit in a Dole bananna box gotta be the size of a Jack o lope???? Congrats I would hang them on my wall
-
I didn't believe in the shock collers either till I bought a new package of rage & they came with them they do work great in keeping the blades closed till they need to be opened I am purchasing them for the rest of my broadheads now using the collars last week going through some very Narly stuff I never had one blade pop open when I took my buck later in the week it worked as it should
-
I have 2 leftover 8N permits won't be back to NY till end of Oct. 2013 if anyone is interested PM me
-
yup they discontinued the red label I believe 1st quarter of 2011 they made it into the 2011 catalog & if I recall it was discontinued shortly after
-
Don't think you will see the same red label if it returns the sales did drop but it was also one of Ruger's most expensive if not the most expensive guns to manufacture so if they do come back out with the "Red Label" I would not be suprised if it were redesigned not saying it would not be as good just not the same
-
hope it is right through as I leave for western NY tomorrow for 1 week hunting camp picked a fine time for a Hurricane
-
