  1. So I'm out of my element here. I have no catalogs for estimating age or history on this ole 16ga. It has the browning flat back. Remington name. I assume it was the 1st year when mr browning sold to remington. It's in good shape but needs reblue job. Perhaps you gents with the numbers book could shed some light on this old dog
  2. Heres my rem 1100 got it in 1980? Still in VGC..has the vent rib and a rem. Fully rifled barrel. Barrels are flawless.Topped with a Bushnell trophy scope. Cantiliver mount. Available in Erie county. I think $900 is fair.
  3. Seriously jealous rob. Nice machine. Is that considered a brush or finish mower
  4. Probably cutting almost 3 acres so that's a lot of frothy.s and hours. Really cant find on for rent near me. I saw 2 used 1.k and 1.2 k with new engine but decks look beat. Whst can go wrong with deck. Are these belt driven with mower blades
  5. My fields will need another brush cut in spring. Raspberry and brush rebounding with a vengeance. Farmer who did it wont do it again. Guess he repaired 3 tire holes first time so now that the 8 ft tall stuff is gone I figure a pull behind swisher or similar would work...but the price of new doesnt work. Is it wise to look for and buy used or are they usually beat to death by then. How well does the deck bearings blades hold up
  6. Thanks fellas. Got another ordered. Not food saver it double seals
  7. Do most here vacuum seal or saran wrap/ paper wrap deer. I have a food saver that is malfunctioning. The vac seal button only vacs then I have to press seal. Not getting tight seal. Wondering if I should invest in another brand or go back to plastic and meat paper.
  8. Heres a pure diakon radish spot followed by 2 turnip radish kale plots planted aug 20. Got some washout on 2 diamond really jumped. Mix is catchin up. Also small clover planted aug 13 later plant dates working well. No feeding yet. That's good
  9. 3 weeks in on pure diakon plot. Think I have good spacing. Have 2 more with Hancock beet kale radish mix coming up slower. Clover plots real slow. Will update pics of those soon
  10. Yep the 1.5 wide your bag sits right next to you.
  11. I shoot 400 bemans currently with 2inch vanes. 60 lb rage 100 gr. Getting some quik fletch. Never tried em. What would 3 inch do to flight. Help hurt slow speed? Also have low profile or the flat back type. Not sure any thoughts
  12. Free wood all around you. Notch poplar logs. Wood bolts
  13. So if im trying them on 400 hunter bemans 2 inch regular 3 inch regular. Hell fire flat back.low profile. Oh boy not sure. Is there helical on them.
  14. I have 23 acres but my access rd to my barn is 400 yds off rd and surroundind property is big woods. My hemlock beech cherry woods is a pass through spot to the field area only 5 acres but loaded with apple pear.(bumper crop this year) neibor planted 10 acre corn. Im doing spot plots this year. Last year had 1 in mossy brassica kale turip mix. Ate the tops never touched bulbs till feb. Added 4 more spot plots.all hancock seed. Some half pure diakon 2 clover one pure hancock Brassicas radish kale rape. Steve bartyla said spot plots allow less buck stress than one big plot regarless of plant. Lets face it.. bucks dont want to get into a bar fight every night just to get a meal. So testing hancocks seed seperated plots my soil prep is great .just planted 8/16. Lets follow the progress
  15. Add some lime to seed so you can see it. Youll see your spread better also
  16. I tried a mossy mix of brassica beets kale rape. Ate some tops kale and rape. Wouldnt touch bulbs till after season. Catt county. This year im using hancock blend of turnip rape kale but mostly apin. 50% of all my fall plot will be pure diakon radish from hancock seed. Heard about its early draw
  17. Body says 4.5 rack says 3.5
  18. Butternut or white walnut have 9 to 11 sets of leaflets per leaf stem (petiole) Black has 16 sets. Much longer. Also black pith when you break branch open.
  19. Price would decide if i part with it or not. I have no clue myself. Approx 1979 vgc rem gas auto loader with vent rib and hastings slug barrel w bushnell trophy scope. Is there a site where you could input gun serial condition and get approximate.
