    I'm up everyday now at 5 am ready to crap and hit the woods... Too bad I haven't been able to hunt all week and really don't want to this am (hunting with a buddy tomorrow)...just leaves me up and tired again by 8pm.

    Why cube it sous vide? I take a 1-2lb backstrap or round right out the freezer toss it in the bag with salt pepper and butter...75 minutes later cooked thru to temp...brown and serve!

    Salt, pepper, butter...doesn't matter what you put on it as long as you processed it well and serve it rare.

    I lift unloaded and open chamber every time but I agree with you I would not have my son or daughter do it that way when it's their time. Rearward I always get the muzzle buried in something...I am gonna go with buckmaster from here on and do the sling hoist method sans sling.

    Yes haul line or whatever. I don't like slings never use them I have a ring on the foreword sling mount I clip my rope to it worked out turns out I harvested a doe out of that stand last year same day as well

    I did...I'm also only in this stand cuz I wasted nearly a half hour looking for my gun hoist so eventually I just went out back too ladder stand

    Classic 2018 deer season for me...hoping for a gun season reset today... Instead I spent 20 minutes getting sweated looking for my gun hoist finally gave up and walked to a ladder stand behind the house...deflated
