    Buddy harvested small doe right at legal I had one just out of range same time. Pumped my pal got one from my new set...he hasn't seen a deer from stand since a big doe harvest weeks ago...he waiting on a buck now I'm trying my best to stay in stand but I'm so tempted to track/stalk that doe...

    Light snow covered the ground and our noise getting in...over now Wind is ripping on the ridges but just gusting here on the hill

    Yeah I'm hopin...in the AM taking my buddy to the stand I harvested this years buck out of on the way to my big doe producer... Old School Dryer/Scent Control: wind is gonna kick up early that's alright setting a behemoth ladder for my/with my dad tomorrow afternoon in the heavy wind.

    Most fun day of the year so far still hunted 400 yards to my stand in 90 minutes...more than 1.5" snow in that time at 2000ft. 70 mins in I decided to take a leak but was still on point like Fred Bizear hung my bow (built in hanger) started my Bizness and then ofcourse I see a big brown body 20 yards upwind of me...he was walking slowly but unaware of my presence. I stalked to 15 pants undone then i saw the headgear, heavy 6 big Ys. Let him go on a ways and did up my pants Took my time to my tree (80 yards from buck encounter) and was only in it 15 minutes widowmaker was dangling nearby it was heavy snow and windy. Got back on another set of tracks on the way out (60 mins) but no more sightings... So much fun thanks Biz for invading my brain

    I'm in my tree it was an adventure getting here finally got a deer in range that didn't notice me...buck ofcourse. Fun day little windy wth this wet snow...alert for widow makers

    I called them direct got the CEO he set me up...I rolled the dice because no one else makes (including these guys now) a 27.5" ATA. No regrets

    I've seen it posted several times over the years and I found a solution not sure if anyone else had posted this but here it is. Use 90%+ Alcohol and wipe down the boots... I believe the stink is an oil they use to make sure the boots don't dry rot in the box...Like most oils 90% IPA made short work of it.

    I have only begun reading this thread so apologies if this redundant. I think 15 mins before/after would be a nice compromise and I would be happy if that change was made. Early season canopy makes it dark quick...late season with snow on the ground moon in the sky feels like you could hunt all night.

    Weird year for sure...low on doe group sightings and just sightings in general. Wet weather has not helped. Really low on hard and soft mast around me this season so I am sure that isn't helping. That said a tiny county parcel I hunt with about 5-7 guys (mostly me and 1 other dude) has produced 3 bucks and 2 does this season, 1/week last 5 weeks including a doe harvest today.

    So am I gonna be the only tool out there with my compound while the rest of yuns are peering through optics and ever-drawn? Jeez even my xbow has archery sights I used to think I was pretty cool. That's fine I'm still even trying to get it done Fred Bizear style en terrafirma. Just a preview of Late Bow...Excuse me I mean ML.
