If you smack heavy bone or spine sure...If you double lung or heart shoot a deer w/o smacking heavy bone particularly with slugs or small caliber rounds they react exactly like a double lung arrowed deer, up to 100 yds dead running. if you clip a deer outside the vitals or In the guts with a gun you can be in fur the same track job as a miss hit archery deer. My point is tracking can occur with both and DRT also happens with both. Obviously I don't bow hunt in heavy rain but to blanket statement that bloodtrailz wash out in rain and guns always drop em in sight is not accurate.

Guys never had to track a gunshot deer huh...unless it is literally dumping buckets your blood trail will be fine....hunt how you want I'm just saying.

Yeah you can send decent money to China too...but if you're gonna buy from China get those $40 pack for $3.

Pack of heads is 70 that's $23 bucks per...my fmj's were 90/6 so that is $15, brass inserts a couple bucks a dollar worth of fletch and reflective tape...is $40 precise enough. Don't worry tho the same one just keep going thru deer over and over again so money well spent.

Although I think the original post is a terrible tragedy and over the top in conclusion, the last time I checked CTF (and public at large) does cite this (vehicle collisions) as the biggest reason for allowing hunters to harvest deer. I don't think it matters if you are selective in buck taking I do think it matters if you buy antler-less tags (as deer density is the issue) just so others can't fill them and refuse to do so yourself as some claim to do (this appears to be taking place with dmaps in Delaware State Forest where I have a cabin in PA).
