    I agree with most people. I hope where ever he heard that is false, I am for a wk shorter gun season or leave it alone all together.

    I was just talking to a buddy who said they want to take 2wks of bow and put it on gun season. Anybody else heard of such a thing? I sure hope this is false info.

    I loose something most years! Just don't know it till I put everything away! I can tell u there is a thermos in the woods still. Haven't lost it but coffee wasn't good. So I left it on a walk. I'll get it hunting for sheds! Or turkey hunting.

    Lol actually I haven't seen a deer in 30 days! Lol. Opening day of gun was the last time I seen a deer. And I've been out for at least an hr after work everyday and at least 8 hrs per day on wkends

    There's lots of state land there too right? I'm going to have to look into this. And I give you credit. After 7 days of no deer I may throw in the towel.

    Last sit of the season! Sad:( ... I did end up with an awesome buck this year and lots of good stories. And at least I'll get to sleep in next wkend!! Can't wait for spring. Food plots,fishing, turkey hunting! Well it's been fun everyone. This thread will soon fade away as less people take to the woods. It already has been. Looking forward to talking to everyone next season! Have a safe and productive off season.

    Buckmaster why is bow hunting up there so hard? I've never been there. Sounds like an awesome challenge! I might need to look into this a bit more

    Same here. Going to try some coyote hunting this season. And ice fishing. It helps a little.

    Crossbows are fine where they are. It takes all the skill out of hunting with a bow. I sure how they don't allow it to be all season.

    Them fox are as bad as them yotes! The eat the turkey eggs, pheasant eggs! And the birds. Only thing the fox are good for are getting the neighbors stray cats. If is see them i give them a dirt nap! Or a snow nap in this case

    I love spring turkey. Nothing like getting a gobbler going. But bow hunting is what I live for. U are missing out big time. U will love it. Deer are doing there own thing. Not running scared. I've seen 8 different bucks in a day before during the rut. Awesome stuff. Really hope u get into it. Can't wait to talk to u next fall if u do. Can't wait for may1st

    I'm sitting here in my stand toes frozen. Just thinking of bow season. Seeing deer! Quiet! All the colors. Deer doing what they do. Can't wait till next season. Just wondering if anyone else is missing it

    Well core! I'm with u. Well kinda. I had a rough season too except 1 afternoon. I had seen a few small bucks and had a great sit with my son one night when we seen a doe and to little ones during bow. But other than that it was really slow. Until November 17th at 4 pm. I shot the biggest buck to date with my bow. So I'm still smiling. I seen one deer opening day and haven't seen a deer since. And I hunt every day at least an hr every night after work.

    Well at least u didn't wound him. And if u don't get another shot this season he will be a beaut next season.

    I'll be out. Tomorrow as long as I can. Then sat and Sunday as long as wether allows. I've only missed a few days all season. And I agree. Only a few more days then have to wait 9 months!

    Well I sure hope tomorrow is a bit different. I haven't seen a deer since opening day. Winds are supposed to die down and suppose to have fresh snow. And pressure has been off for a bit now. Hopefully I get to at least see a deer. All small ones and little bucks get to walk. And this thread has gotten pretty quiet. Means season is coming to an end. Got a few more days.

    So very sorry to hear. My prayers go out to u and ur family. And like everyone else has said. At least he was with his sons and doing what he loved. Again so very sorry for ur loss.

    I used the high mountain stuff. Just miss read instructions. And it's already in smoker. Relized this when I was reading what temp should b! Man hope it's all good. I hate wasting venison
