  1. This was a Shop & Save, must be the same. I have a kangaroo one here too, lol. Mmmmmm taco's.
  2. They were delicious, believe it or not that food was from an ice cream dairy bar, street side walk up. Their lobster rolls are half the cost of the other places here, and are our favorite.
  3. Traveled roughly 40 miles today, had a great time.
  4. Our lunch.... Lobsta rolls, Chicken tenders, Fried pickles.
  5. This will be my 4th bow season, still on my first compound, which is a Mathew's Mission Hype. The shop recommended it to me due to its highly adjustable features for me, since I have the prosthetic arm. It has been a great bow for/to me.
  6. Old Orchard beach is so popular, I have never been, we are about 200 miles past.
  7. Good stuff, whales are amazing! Coincidentally a co-worker is in the Old Orchard area this week, its funny, we both go to Maine the same week, even prior to knowing one another.
  8. My pleasure! And I will be sure to send a pic of Katahdin in the distance for ya, lol.
  9. Oh boy lol The moose are why we are here, you got it, hoping tomorrow to see some during daylight. Thank you
  10. Lunch. "West Cove Cuban" panini. Ham, pulled pork, pickle, and swiss. Soooo good! The soup was a seafood chowder, has haddock, scallops, lobster, crab, and diced potato, VERY good too!
  11. Moog, if you want to take your family on a memorable trip, you should come up here. I am 32, and have been coming up here since I was 18, once every summer for about 9 or 10 nights. One summer, I came up here twice, once for 4 days, I love it THAT much, and cannot recommend this area enough. Moose out number people, and logging is all over. Everyone is friendly, its just something else up here.
  12. Well we fueled up the quad, and took it over to Kelly's Landing which is a shore side restaurant. It was really a new experience for me, since I have never really trail rode until once in May, in NY. I have never even been on a motorcycle, so it was such a different perspective for me to be out in the open on the quad, on public roadways. We had lunch, then took it up a trail, if my phone app is accurate, we did about 20 miles. Quad did well, I had lifted it 2" so I was a little concerned with the CV angles up front, but it has been great, so I am happy with that. The trails are somewhat busy from beat up ATVs, to $30k Can-am Maverick X3 Turbos! No matter what you're crusing in, or on up here, everyone is down to earth, and all here for the same reason. Trails are also dirt roads for cars/trucks, but we only saw one SUV in which we assume was headed to a camp. This trail was pretty smooth with the occasional pothole areas, and some areas that are prone to bogs that overflow, so these spots have river rock. We just practical drive over the river rock at walking speed, not to rattle the machine to death.
  13. Well since I mention Maine somewhat often, and I see other vacation threads pop up lately, and it seems you guys enjoy the pics, I know I do. I figured I will create a thread of our trip. Might not be as exciting as Colorado, or Alaska, but my girlfriend, and I love it. Will post pics along the way if there's enough interest. We just got here around noon, 9 hours, and 512 miles, left home at 3am. This will be our first time here with an ATV, and we are very excited. They are street legal here, in certain jurisdictions, and we plan to go to lunch in a few minutes on it. We are in Greenville, which is on the southern tip of Moosehead Lake.
  14. Definitely not offended, and not gonna lie, clueless what your abbreviation really was.
  15. When you say "BIO" is that short for Bionic, lol seeing as how you were talking about lettuce...xd
  16. Ok, waterbased is all I use. I dont likebthe ambering effect over time of oils. Point is, sounds like you didn't seal it with anything special, so thats all I need to hear. I like the water based polycrylic by minwax for interior work. I will try the torch trick in a couple weeks when I am back in town. Thanks again for the info, appreciate it.
  17. Thats gorgeous. I like that a lot. Thank you for that. For the theme of my house, I think of I try the torch method, I would go for a little bit of a lighter tone. The house will be done in natural stain, and satin. What did you ise for sealer if you dont mind me asking?
  18. Interesting, I did not know that. Good info, this is very rough Amish cut wood though, would like to avoiding sanding it. Still interested in this though... ..Have you tried the torch method on roughcut before? This door will be behind a tinted storm door too by the way. I still think I will experiment on some scrap wood, and see how I like it. Any recommendations for a sealer? My house will be getting restored, and at that point, might have him seal it along with house. Would like a satin sheen. Thanks GMan
