  1. Honestly, no. We are not too knowledgeable with wood sealants, etc. Dad was a mechanic, and I work for a Town Parks system, we just do the best we can. I wouldn't be confident enough with using a torch on this, as as ending up with a look I wouldn't prefer. Any info on this you can share with me, tips? Maybe I will practice on scrap boards, and see how it looks.
  2. Tipping the bike up? No lift? They can't afford a special lift when they are gouging customers? Good on you for standing firm, I hear ya.
  3. So, I tinkered around with some stain brines, and I could not get a tone that I wanted. No biggy, so I am going to leave the door natural in color, but coat it in clear, the same as my house will be done in. Here are pics so far of the door my dad, and I have been working on. I love rough cut, and rustic for my home, and this is my idea of that. Having fun, and loving it. Didn't think I would share pics, so the first pic is all crookedy sideways, but the first pic....closest end of door is the top Z side of door is the outside.
  4. We have sheds used as curtain holders, no clue if thats what they are called, but they hold the curtains open so you can see outside....also my dad has a nice rustic kitchen table, with antlers on each corner of the table, its a nice accent. I have a moose blade hanging on the wall, as well as a small fork antler that huhs a birch bark candle on my end table, which is typically in my dinner pics. I believe a lot of guys drill a tiny hole in the antler, and use a small nail, or screw, if it were me. I have heard of some guys, actually drilling a hole into the antler, and recessing the small bolt(like a machine bolt), then dremeling that down a bit, and using wood putty to mask the hole. I have also heard of guys using wooden dowels to plug the hole of a recessed small bolt. I wonder if you could drill, and tap the antler, then cut then dremel off the head, but use a lock tight, or epoxy on the threads first...
  5. Very sorry to see this, my deepest condolences to you as all.
  6. I'd snap his head off like a dandelion with my fake arm.
  7. The world could sure use more of that mentality, thats for sure. Never a bad thing to learn a little something too.
  8. Salad and a turkey slider like burger....
  9. I plan to use my last pack for slider burgers with swiss, and our homesmoked baconnnn.
  10. It is pretty taddered up, if thats even a word, lol. Upstairs makes up for it :-)
  11. Coincidentally, I saw one this morning. I have not seen one in a long time.
  12. I know that gravelly sand outline of where the car sat, when flushing out the underside that you're talking about, lol.
  13. I feel the opposite way, i feel like todays paints are brittle, paper thin, and the metal is a lot thinner in my opinion. I find vehicles rust years sooner then vehicles of the early 2000's to mid 2000's model years. Thats just my opinion of what I see around here. I wash my stuff all the time, and am anal with hosing/pressure washing underneath though. Seems like newer vehicle start rusting at all the pinch welds, and door seams/hood seams a lot sooner than even 10 years ago, or so. I always tell the guys at work to open the doors, and get those door seams.
  14. Thanks! And I was hoping someone would ask, lol. I want to create a thread of my trip, but didn't want it to be like a "who cares" thread, haha.
  15. Added synthetic winch rope, and a bungee net up front, girlfriend surprised me with the net.
  16. I find it interesting, thanks for posting. I find it interesting to compare to what grows wild where I live.
  17. In one week we will be in Maine, we are very excited! Giving this ATV a workout, and plan to introduce it to moose.
  18. Steak, and colby jack, with our homesmoked bacon quesadillas!
  19. Snack time! Bloomin onion topped with cheesey bacon fries!
  20. Out to lunch with my girlfriend. I made my own lobsta mac lol, spear a chunk of lobster, and a chunk of mac n cheese, best of both worlds.
  21. Coincidentally, I too had taco bell. 2 chalupas, a crunchy taco, and a burrito supreme. Happy birthday to your pop.
