I fall asleep during every movie :-(

To add to the moose collosion talk...dont fear a moose collision, obviously its a big deal if it happens, but as already mentioned its mainly an issue dawn, and dusk, and late late hours. When it hotter out, its not as much an issue either. I have been going to Moosehead Lake, Maine for about 10 yrs now, once a year, a few years twice. I honestly travel about one thousand miles in 10 days once I am up there. It is a heavily moose populated area, and have ONLY once had a very VERY close call, it was 11:30pm and the moose fell in the road trying to scoot away, as it heard the tires screeching to stop. This isnt New Foundland, but I feel its enough experience to give input for traveling around moose. Point is, GO, don't NOT go somewhere in fear of a moose collision, the scenery they roam, and the moose themselves, are simply something words cannot describe. I go every year just to see moose. The scenery is indescribable as well. Drive cautiously, and be alert, at dawn, and dusk, and if traveling throughout the night, just slow down, and pull over for the locals who do 60mph regaurdless. Moose travel more in cooler weather too keep in mind. As far as where I dream to visit... YUKON, and northern Canada. British Columbia. When I retire, I want a diesel dually, and a 5th wheel camper, and travel cross country in northern Canada. I want to hunt black wolves, and moose. It has been a dream for years.

Hence why he asked how the tooth was, and not teeth. Clearly they do not teach common sense east of the Hudson.

Shoofly Pie for dessert!
-
Vinegar on sale? Awfully bitter in here haha Sorry, grocery store humor.

Mozzarella sticks are in the oven!

Oooh i see. I actually add a pinch of dry rub, coupled with either the grease, or olive oil, it adds nice flavor.
-
Am I missing something? Is it the texture that the part you're not keen on? Basing this on the sour cream comment... I make the crispy, either by using a pinch of olivd oil, or the grease from kielbasa. Again, never had authentic pierogies, so maybe the differences are extreme lol.
-
They were fake box-push pierogies, Mrs. T's were on sale, a few weeks back. These were Sour cream, and chive potato filled. I have never had real pierogies, so these are always good. A friend is polish, and he gets real pierogies from PA, in this mom & pop pierogie shop. One of these days I need to throw him some money, and have him bring me back some.

Kielbasa, pierogies, onions, and garlic. Didn't hang around long enough for a pic.

Sausage & garlic pie. Nom noms.

They look AWESOME. Nice job. Bagels are one of my favorite foods, I crave bagels with cream cheese if I haven't had one in a few days.

Oh ok, I see. It is my favorite soup. My dad explained to me how he makes it. YEARS back my dad went to Olive Garden, I can tell you it was YEARS ago, because he has no use for that restaurant. I was surprised to hear he has even been there...anyways lol. He had potato soup there, and kept disecting the flavors, and made a mental ingredients list, and there you have it. He is the best at making soups, he is even in people's phones as "Chicken soup" lol he just made 5 gallons of chicken soup last night for a snowmobile hill climb event he was meeting friends at for today. Glad you gave the soup a try.

That's great! Glad you enjoyed it, I was JUST hinting last night to you about that, a few posts back, lol. No chopped spinach on hand? Not seeing green. Cashews, look tasty!
-
That looks stupid tasty... I remember my dad using a pressure cooker growing up, for pot roasts, meals like that. I thought pressure cookers were for tenderizing meats....I never would have thought to use it for sausage, and potatoes, foods like that.
-
I'm not sure that I know what that is... Googled it, is it a pressure cooker?

Jdubs, what a GREAT topic. Please like this post, i feel so strongly about :-) Smoked sausage, potatoes, and fresh string beans, with big chunks of onions, all boiled together! Topped with salt, pepper, butter. It truly is the ULTIMATE food for me. That meal means A LOT to me.

Hot pizza! On a cold night!! Congrats on the hide-a-way.

Ok, I will contribute postively on this...its 0 here in Sullivan county, forecasted to be minus 8.

Yes, sorry folks for the derail. I just had to ask about pizza, lol. I feel I bring a positive vibe otherwise. Forgive me? I have heard of powerhouse rd. We are a few miles from Saint Johnsville. Romana's, i will try and remember that name. It is just nice for a change of pace to go out, and eat, for something different. How long have you had a place up above? Thanks again for the input.

We bought the camp in May, I would honestly have to look at a map to know whete Stanfordville is. Its nice to know of options, if you get the itch to go out for a lazy bite to eat. Thank you. Packed with cars is typically a good sign. With all due respect, you are weird. Although, my grandpa HATES cheese, due to the depression, so I wont judge. Again, no disrespect, just having a little fun.

Hmmm, I haven't noticed that place. I know its camp, and all, but I love pizza. I make an amazing pie, but sometimes its nice to run out for a pizza. Its good to see a place exists! You said Suffolk Co, so you must know what REAL pie tastes like...so I must watch out for house of pizza! Fake pizza is rough for sure lol, Digiorno, is decent on a lazy, wth do I cook night...ONLY if its on sale for about $5...otherwise when its not on sale for about $8 its not worth it. Price Chopper has GREAT pizza doe, and in a pinch with fake sauce use Classico pizza sauce , or ricotta for a white pie! I also use sandwhich pepperoni, tell the deli staff you want 8 slices of sammich pepperoni, its tasty, and A LOT cheaper than buying two sticks for $8, or that greasy pack of hormel garbage. Sorrt, I love pizza, it crosses my mind even in a weather thread, haha.
