    Wow, great price! I bought those same binos two years ago and they were about double that price. Let us know how you like the harness. I bought a harness, but it seems cumbersome with everything else I wear during cold weather so I haven't really used mine.

    I think Biz was only commenting on the composition of the photos. I have to agree that "hero" shots especially when they are composed nicely (no gore, tongue hanging out, etc) look nicer that just a dead carcass photo. I've posted some dead carcass photos, but they were at the moment of recovery and usually just to post in the annual live thread or something. That photo of you with the buck is a good one!

    I've hung a trailcam on a gut pile before, hoping to get Bear and Coyote pics. A large amount of pics are deer being curious and checking out the spot.

    What's wrong with being a weekend warrior? Unfortunately, I have to work for a living and vacation time is difficult to take especially in the Fall.

I know we've got some women hunters on the site, Cynthia, Paula, Dalo, and many others member's wives, daughters, girlfriends, etc. Would be great if someone from the site won it. I talked my daughter into submitting this one of her buck this year that I thought was kind of cool. Not a great quality pic, pixel-wise as it was from a phone. She had a friend photoshop the blood out of it.

    I know that this has been discussed on here before, but I can't seem to find it searching for the thread on here or the regulations on the DEC site. I know that years ago there was a NYSDEC regulation that had a time limit on how long you can keep venison after harvest. That's no longer a regulation right?

    Different parts of the county if I recall correctly. It seems I've read some stories on other repeat offenders from outside NYS too. As far as I know, I've never seen a robo-deer. They must be convincingly realistic!

    Story in our local paper a few years ago about a guy in our area who got caught shooting the robo-deer. Lost his license for a couple of years along with some fines. Got caught the very next year on another robo-deer, and hunting without a license. You're right Greg - didn't deter him a bit.

    Pretty pic. Looks identical to one spot on my property that is a side hill, including that tall pine in the center of the pic. If you are on my side hill, I've got a stand nestled in that pine. You're welcome to use it!

    One of our sons in law is a game warden in another state. Well, up until two weeks ago when he got a new job with his local police force. He had to take a course in deer forensics a while back. Pretty cool to hear how he can put the pieces of the puzzle together. Agreed, they're not dummies.

    I'm pretty much of the mindset that I'm going to be as cooperative as I can when approached by the DEC or any other LEO. Then again, I've got nothing to hide. Why tick 'em off? No good can come out of that.
