    Same here. Killed the alarm and fell back asleep. Oddly not too sad about it, dragging a bit this morning. Last week I gave up on the Bill's game and went out and killed a doe in the 4th quarter. I'll see if I can repeat that this afternoon, only with a buck instead.

    I like that blind! I've shot a few from my tower box with the barrel definitely outside the window and haven't noticed an increase in db from the shot. I don't wear any hearing protection when hunting. Always when target shooting, but not hunting - hope I don't regret that in the future! I will say that I once took kind of a hail mary shot at a yote from the sliding door in my living room, where I didn't really have the barrel out side the door. I WON'T make that mistake again! Good grief that was LOUD!

    You've got to go look in the morning, right? Get out there and wait for sunlight and see what clues you see. Look at the lay of the land and figure out where he likely went. Grid search from last blood and in locations he probably went to. You sound confident in the shot, even the if a few inches back. You'll find him, coyote chewed or not.

    Unless they buy untraceable large amounts of corn for nefarious purposes. I've read that they'll turn on each other for that.

    I've killed two deer with studded snow tires. They were both well after legal shooting time. I didn't even tag them. I think I may have had a spotlight in the console, and I definitely remember having two bags of corn in the back of the truck. You know, for the chickens..

    Not hunting today, at work instead unfortunately. I have an 80 mile ride to work through a very deery part of the state. Just wanted to share that it looked like it rained dead deer overnight. For the last week or so there has been the 1 or 2 freshly killed ones on the side of the road but this morning I must've passed 20 that were not there yesterday. They were definitely moving overnight in my neck of the woods.
