New World Record Whitetail Buck Hunting Story !!!!!!!
Isles323 replied to HectorBuckBuster's topic in General Hunting
I recently saw a picture of a white tail full mount lying down (as if strapped to the roof of a car) and the guy put elk antlers on it. Really funny. -
What's the situation like over there?

Just about anything from Nugent is good stuff. Even cat scratch fever.

That sounds delicious, can't wait to try it out.

Hancock, about 45 min from Binghamton.

Butchering isn't too hard. If you know anyone with a band-saw and some steady hands its even better.

I'm saying we would see improvements after just one year. Another two on top of that seems to look great on paper, but on the other hand so does communism. I think they should start out slow and readjust the restrictions accordingly for each section every year. Do you think it would be to costly, in regards to manpower and time?

I've been bowhunting for three years...... still no buck. Nice Job

Is this going too far, to control land and deer population?
Isles323 replied to mossy725's topic in Deer Hunting
The best bait for coyotes, as far as im concerned, is those deer you see on the side of the road on the way to your property. If the bait is small and doesn't have any weight to it the coyotes are just going to grab and go. By using a roadkill deer you can insure they wont be leaving and you will have plenty of time to get a good shot off. I don't think it's illegal to collect the carcasses, as long as you report it to the dec or a state trooper. Does anyone know what the actual rule is? -
There has been a lot of good moonlight the past two weeks. What's the weather been like?

What's your favorite scent to use this time of year??
Isles323 replied to TEAZER's topic in Bow Hunting
My buddy introduced me to the herd in a stick by border crossing scents this year. The doe that i saw really were a lot calmer when they came around. I tested it out by moving around in the stand and coughing here and there. It seemed like the fact that i was there never even crossed their minds. -
I used the "Great big can" this past weekend. It seemed to calm the deer down to the point where i was able to cough without them noticing me. No bucks yet though.

That's pretty awesome..... I mean to take an animal with a compound is tough, but a long bow.... WOW.

The permanent stand on our property just have holes in the bottom to climb through. Nice job.

I just put up a new treestand on saturday for gun season. Hope i picked a good spot. I put up my game camera two weeks ago and got no pictures at all, but there are scrapes and rubs in the area. Should i stay or move?

I agree with you on the climber..... people can be greedy
-
Thanks, and my bad for the confusion.

That was an honest question, this dude is a neighbor and i don't want him to have any hard feelings if i was to make the call. Is it possible to make an anonymous complaint? I commented with the hopes of some advice. I didn't mean to give anyone the wrong impression.

Do you wear Orange? If so why? If not Why not? :)
Isles323 replied to TheHunter's topic in General Hunting
What about wearing it only to and from the tree stand? -
I was just in 4w this past weekend, my buddy the week before. We are just starting to see rubs and scrapes, but these bucks are good at hiding form the game cameras.

What are the consequences for sharing tags? If i was to make the call...... would he know about it and how much trouble would i be getting him into?
