  4. That was odd I thought I had missed him somehow. It was only a 50yrd shot but after the shot he took off but did not show any signs of being hurt. When I got down and went to where I shot there was not a drop of blood in the snow. Followed his tracks with no blood. Hit him right behind the shoulder and no blood till I found him. Usually deer I've shot with a muzzleloader leave quite a blood trail. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. Shot what I thought was a doe but ended up being a Unicorn. That's ok I will give him to the guys I'm hunting with I've got plenty of venison and they have had a terrible year. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. Congrats @ Red on a Nice Doe. Getting back out today after a 6 day hiatus. Just a few hunts left for me this year. Good luck to all those out. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  8. I wouldn't go as far as saying I have trouble pulling the trigger, but with every passing season it becomes less about the kill for me and more about quality time spent afield with family and friends. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Happy Birthday! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  10. Good luck Zem I hope you find him. I've had that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach before Not Fun. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

  19. Public land l wear an orange vest and leave it on. Private land I wear very little to no orange. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  20. It's about 50/50 for me as far as kills I hunt the timber in the morning and the field edges in the afternoon. I hate getting up I am NOT a morning person but once I drag myself out of bed and get out there it all seems to be worth it. Like the others have said there's just something about watching the woods wake up. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  21. No sightings at all between 3 hunters, things continue to be slow here in the north. Heading out to my private land here shortly for an afternoon watch. Good luck everyone. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  22. Up nice and early with coffee brewing. Meeting up with a friend to try out a new spot. Good luck to those going out. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
