    There's a lost Hunter 1 road over from where I hunt alot. My nephew is following it on his volunteer fireman scanner. He shot his last 3 rounds and was really starting to panic and now his phone is dead. The Forrest Rangers are being called in. Poor guy I hope they find him soon. That's some Big woods up there.     Ok so this is different I'm almost 51 yrs old and this is the first time I've ever hunted from a tower blind. I could get used to this. I let a friend of my nephew's hunt my lease with us a few times earlier this year and once last year and he said if you ever want to hunt behind my house your welcome but I only got 15 acres but I do have a tower blind. Fast forward to tonight my nephew and I wanted to hunt but we were expecting steady rains a phone call to the Hunter and he said help yourself to the blind. I need one of these on my lease!     Only seen 1 today and that was the one I spooked on the way in. Got in a little late as this is the plan B spot plan A already had a truck in it. Lots of shots so at least somebody is seeing them. At 10 I'm up and moving will slowly walk the trails. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    4 guys on the lease this afternoon not one sighting except a coyote that was on full run. Pulled cards on the way out most of the movement is at night. Finally got a decent Buck for this property on cam of course it was at 9 pm. Back at it tomorrow. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Mine was a 7 point on November 7 1998. I remember it well I had my dad's Winchester semiauto in 308 ( not sure of the model it was stolen shortly after) with a cheap tasco scope. The weather had been rainy and all of a sudden at the base of my tree stand I heard them. It was a doe on a pretty good pace following 10 feet behind was the buck. I was so excited they circled around in front of my stand I pull up my gun to find my scope was half fogged up do to the wet weather and a I could only see half the view. I found quickly what I thought was the vitals and touched it off. My dad must have been looking down after me as I made a beautiful shot and he only went about 100 yrds.     No sightings by anyone tonight. That's it for my Rut-Cation 15 hunts and 20 deer sightings this week but since my freezer was full I was being more picky than normal. I still had a great time. Back to work tomorrow taking a little 3 day break to recharge from hunting will be back at it hard the long Thanksgiving day weekend. Congrats to any that harvested today.     No deer seen in the morning or afternoon Rut-Cation almost over I'm beginning to think I was a fool to let that decent 6 go on day one. Ohh well it was a chance I was willing to take. One more day then back to work. I've seen quite a few deer this week so can't complain to much just didn't see nothing that wowed me.
