    Congrats cabin on a nice buck! Rut-Cation morning 4 produced 1 spike on a cold 3 hr watch, but when my son had stopped by to pick me up on the way out we we're standing there talking quietly all of a sudden three doe come over the hill full bore and almost run us over. It was wild. All In all it was a good morning quality time with my son doing what we love to do and we both seen deer. Can't Complain. Back in around 130 for the afternoon.     Rut-Cation day 4, 19 degrees with a 12 mph wind. Going out in 6k in an area I've only hunted a few times but seen deer almost every time I've been. Good luck to everyone out it's going to be a chilly one. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Rut-Cation day 3 only doing an afternoon today due to some appointments. Out in 6g in a place that I shot my 2 biggest Buck's but that was back in 1998 and 2000 before the swallow wort made it into the area. The place went downhill in the early 2000s with the invasive plant moving in and overhunting.Have not seen a deer here in prably 8 yrs but I generally only hunt it once a year. A coworker took a wide 4 point out of here last weekend so I thought I'd give it my yearly visit. I'd be happy to just fill my second 6g tag. Good luck everyone out.     Day 2 of Rut-Cation was kinda slow 7 hrs on watch 1 doe and 1 button buck. Better than nothing hoping for a little more action on day 3 but due to some appointments only an afternoon watch tomorrow. Congrats to any that sealed the deal today. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Second day of Rut-Cation completely different than yesterday so far. I'm back up on the hill in 6n watching a different spot so far only seen 1 deer which I jumped on the way in.     Back on watch on my Iease l brought my buddy who just recently took up hunting because his boy loves to hunt and he wanted to do more things with him. If that's not enough reason to cheer him on he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's so I'm really pulling for them.     Calling it quits for the morning sit haven't seen anything moving since 745. I can't compain seen 2 Doe's a 4 and a 6 point. I can count on one hand how many times I've seen multiple Buck's on the same watch so YAY for me. Back at it in the afternoon in a different spot. Good luck to all those still out.     Had a doe come through then 5 minutes later a 4 point with his nose to the ground and then another doe 10 minutes later. Things seem to be picking up here in the north. Great morning so far. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    Beautiful morning here on the hill in 6g got a couple of inches of snow from yesterday. I just passed on a decent 6 point which in the past I'd have taken, here on stateland in the northern tier that's a pretty good buck but this is my first day of Rut-Cation and I got plenty of meat in the freezer.     Well after a 2 1/2 hr tracking job where we were seeing little pencil eraser size blood droplets every 5 to 10 yrds we eventually came to posted property. The posted signs do not have a name on them and are spaced way to far apart I believe they are spaced like every 200 yrds. Even know the land is not properly posted I'm not going to trespass. I had to head home as I still got a blower to pickup and if I don't get some sleep I won't be working tonight. My son stayed up there and is trying to find out who's land it is to ask permission to look. Got to give him lots of credit for not giving up but I don't believe the Deer is mortality wounded with that little off blood loss. He will check in with me later hoping he somehow finds it.     Unplanned morning hunt I got out of work a little early and my son really wanted to go so here I am in a spot in 6k that I never been.
