So I visited the farm that I hunt today.... Can't use the land until November 1 saw almost no edge scrapes and very few droppings... Last year this place was loaded with sign.... I did see a little but not as much as I was expecting, they have been very busy with pick your own apples and a corn maze I was wondering if you guys think once this is over next week if the activity will pick back up..... I will be out there every weekend from November 1 until the end of the season. Any advice

I have hunted here before, you can only hunt on the west side of 9w.... It is rough terrain very rough.... I saw 2 deer in an entire season of hunting here.... The good thing is I did not see alot of hunters..... Maybe you should look into West Point Stewart or sterling instead
-
I'm going to use Amatos in westchester.... Or maybe mountain products smoke house in Lagrangevill.... He makes amazing sausage and other smoked products....'I've seen him at farmers markets and always buy his stuff... A friend of mine used to live by his shop and I miss stopping in there.... Just kinda a far drive but I know he is good

For those of you that have used a processor in the past can you ask them to do specific things.... Example I don't want them to cut steaks I'd prefer the back straps cut in half and the tenderloins whole.... I'd also like one of the hind legs whole but boned out so I can try and cure it.... How does everyone else like their deer butchered what are u favorite cuts and roasts..... Being a chef, I'm always down to try something new...

I live In Ardsley a town that borders Hastings and to be honest it torutre the amount of big deer that I see here on a daily basis is nuts there is plenty of room in the woods that border the saw mill from Hastings all the way to where the parkway hits 287 to allow bow hunting... Even In Ardsley there are some wooded areas that are big enough it's just all the clueless animal lovers in the area that would never support hunting.... I wish there was enough of us in the area to lobby to allow hunting

It was junk the magazine would sometimes pop out when I fired the rifle.. 2 magazines broke and it felt like cheep plastic.... Just didn't like the gun it also would jam alot .... Looking for an upgrade

Hey so I want to buy a new rifle and scope combo this year I don't care if it is new or used I started out with a remmington 770 In 30-06 a few years ago and it was complete crap I can spend 500 max 550 if I have to any suggestions I'd really like some input thanks
-
Umm a few years ago they mentioned poundage but they didn't say that it doesent matter they told me that form is more important and that a weight that is to heavy will mess with your form and that eventually the weight will come

The pieces of crap that came on my rts Parker that I bought at cabelas 4 yrs ago I transferred them over to my mission last year... It's nice to have a good site and rest on my bow just got home and as always they were very helpful... I grew up in Ardsley so I've been a patron there for a while.

Mom bought me a 175 dollar gift certificate to cougar sports in Ardsley gunna head there today and get a whisker biaket and a new sight... Hoping I can get up to northern westchester Saturday and Sunday for two last hunts... Still looking for my first bow deer gunna hunt untill the bitter end.... Hunted a lot early season then started a new job and now I haven't been out In almost a month
-
Yea we haven't I'm just going to get there as early as possible on the days I hunt. In the past on public land I have had guys be not so cool I had a guy walk in and use his climber no more than 40 yards away he sat there and chain smoked the entire time. Bow season last year
-
Yea we haven't run into each other yet but I guess who ever is there first on any given day gets the spot that would be my thinking I'm glad I try to sit for at least one hour before sunrise

So I pay a small fee to hunt a property in northern westchester when I got Down from my stand the other morning ( a climber) I noticed another climber attached to the base of a tree 20 yards behind me. How do I deal with this if we run into each other. We both pay to hunt this land. I'm hopeing this does not become a big issue.... I was seeing tons of deer until I notices this climber and the 20 sent pads he hung every where
-
I know I've been hunting a farm So I walk through the fields as much as possible. When I got down from my stand the other morning there was a empty Climber at the base of a tree 20 yards behind me
-
No I had one doe come in but she was just a little out of range. It's cool though I'm loving the rush of It all.

So I got to the prosperity I hunt got out of my truck to open the gate and went to turn on my head lamp. Nothing I tried again nothing. Thank god for the flashlight app worked All the way to my stand. Trying to set up a climber with one hand not to much fun... Finally set and ready to go bow hunting 3s
