  1. Your having a great year on the coyotes ! Keep up the good work Culvercreek hunt club.
  2. Minnesota Trapline Products and F&T Fur Harvester’s Trading Post are the best in the business ( IMO).
  3. I just started trapping again a few years ago. I’m only targeting bobcats for taxidermy purposes. Back in the 1990’s , I was averaging $11.00 per rat. I would take some 110’s and set up the Hudson River marshes at low tide. I would return the next day at low tide and have 15 - 20 rats each morning. It was easy money but I would have made more money working overtime. Lol
  4. It ain’t about the money guys , it’s about the challenge.... at least it is for me. You’ll never get rich by trapping.
  5. I caught this female in a bobcat set this morning. I was a little surprised because most of the coyotes I get are sets made out in the open. She is missing part of her tail but was completely healed over.
  6. The way I interpret it is that you can’t make a set if there’s any building within 100’ of it. I personally don’t like having a set made anywhere near houses , schools , churches etc. The farther away the better. Not to mention dispatching an animal with a gun when you’re only 100’ from a house. It’s always better to err on the side of caution IMO.
  7. I had a bobcat come in using the “titmouse tantrum” call. I think any high pitched bird calls would work for bobcats and foxes. Maybe a bigger prey species call would be better for coyotes. It also helps to have a remote control decoy to seal the deal. Just my 2 cents.
