Tried the Stubbs steakhouse mix tonite not bad. That 4 for 4

it's not bad I have short arms so it all the way in. I only took a few shots offhand and sitting[range rules] I'm going to shoot it a few more times if it's no good i'll order a byods over the winter.

Hit the range to try out the gun and that 209 nipple. They both worked out,but I see a few problems with that nipple first the follow up shot will be slowed down unscrewing the cap. Second if you drop the cap it's would be like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Other then that it pretty good I'm going to use it. The bottom shots where with 80gr. The top where 90gr.

It's a shooter for me anyway. Four shots to the left quick adjustments and I was in. This was only 50yrds. The hundred yard range was full.nice gun I like it. These where factory loads going to load some up myself

thanks buckmaster7600 I was worried about that and the pistol grip but the fit is fine hopefully I can get out this weekend and try it out.

It's scoped and ready one thing I noticed is there's no sling mount for the front sling. Does it go on the pump? Or is there another way of hook a sling on.

Rocky point was great for afternoon does in the pines. I just hated signing in and out.

That's why I said some areas. I've never hunted private land on the island.the spots out east are so out of wack it's like rabbit hunting. I don't hunt much on the island anymore. But when i see a buck like that is sparks something in me. I neucent hunted on the north shore one year where you could use ten pounds of bait a day. Being lazy I use a jar of peanut butter those deer where coming in from every where.

I'm not going get into a pizzing match with you. But here on Long Island in some areas the deer population is way out of wack. That's why a 7 month old deer only weighs 20lbs. It's from interbreeding from to many deer we have unlimited doe tags. I start the season with two buck tags and three doe tags. these deer are shot during the shotgun season the last month of hunting season.the best I ever did was eight in the freezer. The problem is to many trophy hunter that won't take a doe or three. its also the true meaning of veal.

There are a lot of big deer all over the island, but I've also shot a few that didn't even weigh 20 lbs. and that's no typo.

Well I finally found a 7600 in Tennessee for$300 the great part is it's in 3006 my favorite caliber. Just picked it up from the ffl dealer need scope rings and then it's off to the range. I have a Leupold vx-2 4x waiting for it.I'm hoping it eats 180gr. Bullets I have a lot of them if not the 165's always work. This is going to be my swamp & foul weather gun.

just got back from a work weekend.I had to take out another chuck all i had was my 9mm .It's woodchuck war i'll never go up with out a long gun again.i can't dig two feet without hitting a rock those s.o.b's are tunneling all over the place.

i always hear them back by the pond on my property.Every animal seems to pass this corner.i'm going to trim it out next month. didn't set date/time

i've been scouting a few swamps on google earth set up two cams on a finger going into a swamp.i found a line of three swamps spreading about three miles with land cuts in between.i'm going to hunt around that one this fall.this season can't get here fast enough.

did't get to try it other then snapping a cap off.but thanks again i can't see this not being a plus.i'm heading up to my place next weekend and taking a few shots humidity or not.

3 for 3 with the stubb's mixes. center cut pork. going to try this one again with bone-in chops.

this buck was 31/2 years old.if this thread is still going next week i'll post some of the ones i have up at my house.
