Failed food plot

I'm in bumped one off that food plot I'm going to set a camera on it. Cloudy no rain but very warm.

Getting ready 54 light wind took a walk yesterday evening found the deer are pawing at my failed food plot. Hopefully one shows up today. good luck everyone

just a heads up my buddy was hunting rocky point and got a flat while fixing it he found a board with nails buried and a bunch of nails buried in another parking spot. check the area before you park.

i'm heading up tomorrow afternoon for the muzzleloader opener Saturday.i was shooting for 9 days but could only squeeze 6 days in. sat & sun look wet but Monday looks great 49 for the high. i'm going to hunt my property sat/sun then hit the state land for some still/stake hunting a swamp I've been checking out since spring. I haven't been this pumped up about deer hunting in years I think it's because i'll be hunting with a gun instead of a bow. anyone else heading out??

I've been using hang-ons forever I have two lone wolf hang-on and climbing sticks great stands. I put three ladder stands on my property over the past two years but i'm not crazy about them kinda uncomfortable I still have one in the box. I also picked up a summit viper on craigslist cheap this will be a first for me using a climber. good luck with yours if it's anything like my lone wolfs you won't be disappointed..

I use a garmin and a lowrance I like the garmin Colorado 400c a little more then the lowrance ihuntc it's just a little easier to use but they both come with me and extra batteries. the garmin etraks are pretty simple mark your car log your route to stand hit back track and follow. the more you use one the easier it gets. I've left backpacks treestands and deer and never had any problem finding them. a few things to keep in mind is they eat batteries, if you drive more then a 100 miles they need to be recalibrated, practice in woods you know until you have it down, and bring a map and compass.

my first rifle was a marlin 336c .35 cal. my father bought me and my older brother one each. I think I was to young[12] for the recoil and never could get comfortable with it. I did kill a few deer with it then sold it when I got into bow hunting.
