I may sneak out for the afternoon hunt but not lookin good with cutting up tree's tomorrow

Everyone in my house freaks.i kind of enjoy it.its the only quiet without the damn TV going 24/7.amazon just delivered packages so wrapping gifts.crazy bastids!!!!

So far from what I can tell part of dead tree I've been wanted to cut down in front yard fell(fiance is refusing I cut) and big widow maker over garage came down bouncing off the roof.doesnt look like any damage

Was in Scottsville 3 years ago.moved to spencerport 2 years ago.the last windstorm with no power was in scottsville,lasted a few days

No Generator here.have yet to get one but definitely need to!Mr buddy big buddy heater is our heat if needed!

Wind is ripping here!!!!been without power since 445pm(ish).local news reporting 17,000 without power in my county(monroe).good thing I bought a 30 rack of genny light @wolc123.going to be a long night and even longer tomorrow as ive got a couple texts from people i know to cut tree's up!

I'll 2nd this.bringing the inflatable in,ridgid 18v batteries charged for work light,mini led lantern batteries changed n ready.gallon of fuel mixed for the saws,just gotta top off and fire em up.ooo and I didn't forget a 30 rack of genny light on my way back from home depot this morning!

Saw one tail in the field on way out of the woods,the usual.may be able to sneak in a Sunday afternoon hunt but not sure yet

Have browsed this topic with no responses as I choose to avoid it.just wanted to say(thankfully) my 83 year old grandmother(the property i hunt)tested positive for the rona and got cleared of quarantine yesterday.still feeling a little congested but doing much better.she had a variety of symptoms...runny nose,chills,fever,nausea,loss of appetite,cough,congestion,tired.not surprised as she doesn't let much of anything slow her down,she's always been that way.sucks that I had to get her daily paper n set it on her porch then get dressed at the truck for my hunts instead of shootin the chit with her before every hunt.is what it is!

It's OK to be selective.it needs to feel "right" to make it happen. I'm sure most if not all of us have been there.it's all part of the learning curve and what you feel comfortable with.no judgement here,when the time is right it'll happen!!!!!

Never say never.it doesn't take much to make it happen.right place,right time.i told myself this past week that I wasn't putting meat In the freezer this season then Saturday that changed,i haven't shot a deer during gun season in prob 4 years(very thankful).keep at it and make it happen!!!!

My Sunday morning is reserved for cutting 2 small ash tree's that fell at a co workers place during the last wind.told him we'll wait till then incase more fall!Sunday afternoon may be a bust due to this!
