Happy Birthday AT!
-
Ugh, hate to see this. Common Roots Brewery in South Glens Falls engulfed in a major fire. They had just broken ground on expanding their taproom last week. Fortunately, everyone got out safely.

Nice score! I haven't had the Windlass, but D&Q and Scaphism are both world class.
-
Nice and tasty Foam pastry stout to wind down the evening.

Happy Birthday to you!

Trillium/EQ collab? Oh man, I can only imagine!

I don't even know where to begin with this Drawn and Quartered. First beer from gypsy-brewer Nightmare Brewing is a freakin grand slam outta the park! I swear, it's like Equilibrium and Hill Farmstead had a 10% triple IPA baby. Incredible. Familiar citra hops brings the tropical fruit flavors, and then something called Enigma hops jumps in and humps the sh^t out of the Galaxy hops into an peach sorbet creamy mouthfeel with perfect bite on the finish. I'll pass out before I get enough of this. Oh, and the can art is off the chains! This one gets a triple

If you like barrel-aged imperial stouts, then it's absolutely worth the premium. You can easily pay more for other stouts that aren't as good, IMO. I love big imperial stouts that focus on notes of coffee and chocolate and rate the KBS among the best that I've had. Locally, KBS sells here for $23.99/4, but my local bev center put it on sale for $19.99/4 to blow out the 2018 vintage ahead of the 2019 being released this month. Backside of my grocery store receipts gave me an extra $5 off $50 there too. Needless to say, I stocked up.

Omelette with red peppers and green onions, smoked maple bacon, skillet home fries and toast.

Finishing with a favorite.

It's sticky and sweet, yet smooth. The alcohol is there with no trace of burn. I found myself asking, "Is this really an imperial stout?" Definitely one to cellar as there is nothing else quite like it.

As unique a brew as I've ever tasted. Double barrel-aged in whiskey and brandy barrels resulting in a smooth 12.2% imperial stout. Figs and dates throughout plus notes of something called amburana wood. I may need to drink an entire 4 pk to truly understand and savor this one.

These HVB sours were my first. Not my preferred style either, but these were outstanding.
-
The sours from Hudson Valley Brewery are amazing! Gemheart is my favorite of the trio (thanks aboa!). "Sour 8% DIPA with raw wheat, malted oat, milk sugar, black currant, lemon purée & rooibos tea; Simcoe & Azacca."

Don't taze me bro!

Biz, the Double G is by Hill Farmstead and it's excellent.

Starting the weekend off with a Double Galaxy. Cheers!

Equilibrium/Finback collab. Big time orange and grass notes (not dank) plus the luscious EQ juice thing. I had to search to find that it's made with Cryo hops (my first time trying). Interesting and really good. Love the way this beer keeps the juicy sweetness in check with the earthy grass flavor.

There isn't a cheese grater bigger enough to get THAT kinda image out of my head!

Happy Birthday!

Depends on who's wearing it. Jeri Ryan FTW!
