Excellent drinking weather today.
-
For a guy who refuses to use a scale to validate the exaggerated weights of his deer harvests you post here, you really don't have any business belittling others or suggesting they are drunk just because they do not share your opinion on full inclusion.
-
Seriously, this is prime drinking weather!

That beer will put some hair on yer chest!

Looks like I'm the only duncie who went with chicken on venison brats and sausage night!

First time dinner meeting so no pics, but I enjoyed a delicious sushi roll platter and chicken & shrimp stir fry. Definitely will go back.

Last I knew standard deviations are commonly cited in survey results and you can't just scoop all of the unsures into one side of the equation. So taken as a whole, full inclusion looks to be preferred by better than half of the respondents, but less than a 2:1 margin as our casual forum poll shows. Either way, the Legislators in Albany move the needle when money changes hands, not from survey results. The 29% support for a "traditional" archery season also mixes in that this would be regulated by the DEC. I wonder what the response rate would be to having the DEC make and enforce all of the hunting regulations, leaving the Legislature out of it?
-
Thank you. Interesting results, only 52% of respondents were in favor of xbow use for the full archery season.
-
Not really. You pretty much left out all of the corroborating information needed to make an assessment. I have no idea what "expansion of crossbow hunting" refers to, when this was taken, how many people responded or how many people were polled. Do you have a link back to the source?
-
Exactly.

I know NY's Legislature is pretty much FUBAR, but you can't possibly believe that a casual hunting forum poll of 88 votes is what they would use to justify going full inclusion. No way. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

Liver enzyme tests are so sensitive, almost anything can spike a number.

Can't speak to the Sam's, but that KBS is no less than a 99 in my system.

Just curious, have you been missing kill opportunities while on stand with your bow? If so, did you miss the shot, make a non-lethal hit or pass up a shot due to range concerns? I'm with you on taking out the weapon that gives the best chance at a successful hunt. For "me", that would be the xbow as I have zero skill set shooting a vertical bow of any kind. Shoulder fired weapons with optics are a whole different story.

You haz a venison cube steak sammich, but I haz no venison cube steak sammich. *sniff*

Kinda like you not using a scale and declaring 200# usable meat harvests from a 2.5 yo buck based on the PA girth chart.

Since when does the NY Legislature ever make laws based on what the majority of New Yorkers wants? They'll vote it in when the money is right and the 3 men in a room tell them to.
-
We should ban these unscientific and show-nothing forum polls to avoid any future hurt feelings. Look, this poll and countless pages of inclusion discussion threads all demonstrate the same common things. Take it for what it's worth: 1. Of those who have expressed their opinion, more hunters on this forum support inclusion than not. 2. There are some very passionate supporters on each side and plenty of other hunters who don't care either way. 3. We are all going to hunt the way we hunt regardless.

That cheesesteak is legit!

Finally made it to my parent's house to pick up my Baffin's. Too late to test in frigid winter conditions, but these boots are no joke! Thanks for the recommendation.

No pics, but followed up the Burial with a Southern Tier Samoa (really tastes like a Mounds bar; yum) and another KBS.
