I am definitely working on that list, 33/46 so far. The conditions above 4,000 feet were/are a mess of rotten snow and ice likely to last into June. I don't have many gimmes left and wasn't thrilled about doing 19 miles lugging all the traction stuff through a post holers paradise in the High Peaks. Besides, hiking Poke-O that day got me an amazing sunrise and equally stunning hiking partner.

I once tried to buy a Bug-A-Salt "gun" off Amazon and they wouldn't ship to NY. Yeah, this is literally a kiddie plastic "gun" that uses air to shoot salt at bugs. So stupid. Ended up ordering directly from the company who wasn't handicapped by the same liberal pussification that infests Amazon. Kosher salt kills dem flies dead!

No, grampy made a suggestion about getting back to the basics of what this forum is supposed to be about. After 19 pages of this stuff, that might be the most positive thing posted. He suggested you go hunt or fish, even get outside to take a hike, versus more tippity tapping of keys to extend an unproductive online argument. Great advice for anyone, really. Personally, I don't turkey hunt or fish much, but find hiking way more enjoyable than this nonsense. Much better payoff for the effort.

Big mistake thinking that firearms owners will blissfully continue to buy their camo clothing lines, hunting accessories, hunting boots, tree stands, etc, etc. F&S will feel the residual effects, no doubt.

This one was easier, grampy. We hit the road from Clifton Park at 1:15 am and started on the trail at 3:30 am to make the summit at 5:20 am.

Hiked Poke-O-Moonshine yesterday with a friend to catch the sunrise. We used the 2.4 mile Observer's trail from the parking lot off Rt 9. It's fairly easy to moderate with a fire tower up top if you're into that ADK challenge. We just went for the views and they did not dissapoint! The sunrise reflecting off Lake Champlain was stunning!

It's Derby weekend so hopefully this brings me some luck. Tastes better than I expected, local brew too (Queensbury).

Every now and then I'll fill the whirlpool tub with the hottest water I can stand and enjoy a good cold beer. Only thing to top that is the gf bringing me a second cold brew wearing nothing but a smile.

Good beer is always a good decision. Some red wine with dinner is nice, but I usually get stuck drinking the whole bottle. Margaritas are my favorite warm weather drinks, but that's also how I ended up with a daughter so...

Yes, 9mm. Got this before the non-safety version was rolled out. Considering that I appendix carry, I'm ok with the extra layer of protection. Holster is a JM Custom Kydex AIWB with the quick clip. I barely know it's there.
