The can is kinda disturbing, but how does the beer taste?
-
Good week in the office. In reality, I won't drink all of this; they are investments. Some of my best clients really enjoy these beers so some will be given as gifts. The hard to find stuff is always appreciated plus it's way cheaper than buying top end bottles of liquor!

Scores extra points for the cool can.

Should have. Snowblower died on me at the end of the driveway. No good deed goes unpunished.

There will be a hot debate over banning Tide pods during the 2018 NY budget talks. Nevermind that taxes are the highest in the nation, these clowns are wasting our time and tax dollars on idiots eating Tide pods!!

I did. Had to really. Hear me out: Dogs successfully alerted to and defended against 4 imminent threats of mass murder. It's a miracle any of us survived. Stepson was quiet other than making multiple trips to the bathroom overhead due to a bad case of the runs. Mother and daughter battled several times (par for the course really) with at least one loud exchange causing the dogs to chime in their 2 cents worth. Doors being closed to my office would normally be a clue to most people, but I guess they feel they will die or something if more than 10 minutes passes without asking me a question or begging me to do one thing or another because 'they' are in the middle of something. My bad. Kicker was my daughter asking for and expecting a ride to a friend's house. I shit you not. Fortunately, the dogs caught wind of the mailman pulling up to the box and went to Defcon 5, forcing me to close the blast doors to my office. So in the best interests of everyone involved and to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, I did what any other man in full control of his emotions would do in my position... . . . (Yes, this pic was taken in the final sanctuary of my home, the master bathroom.)

Maybe I missed it, but didn't see any FW product at my local bev mart. Heard somewhere that the Parabola was one to try. KBS is the main beer I'm waiting to be released next; never had it. I'm due for another beer run though so who knows what will come home next...maybe more CBS?

The paws on that lynx! Where did you drop that one? Do I recall a wolf taxidermy in your collection?
-
Solid lineup! . The Firestone Walker Parabola is one I've been looking to try. My cousin lives in Lansdale. There are many taprooms like this around the Philly area.

Assuming you have no other features, the Spur would appear to be compliant, but won't handle as well as the Thornsden, aka "fugly stick".

Truth. The gun grabbers will NEVER stop in this state. Latest package of anti-2A crap includes a ban on mods that increase the rate of fire. However, in typical NY politician fashion, they conveniently leave out any and all definitions of what is a "normal" rate of fire and what is "modified" So if one put a match or 2-stage trigger into their rifle, would that run afoul of this proposed law and turn you into a felon? As always, NY would drag you into court to argue that you didn't break their stupid law. You're guilty until proven innocent under King Cuomo's rule. Latest bag of bullshit from elected NY gun grabbers

"If" I were to go the AR route from scratch for preds, I'd go featureless. This means a Thornsden stock, crowned barrel (16.1") and railed upper (M-LOK style). You'll want the rail space for mounting the scope and lights and there's no point to having a fixed front sight post. Try to keep the base rifle lightweight. Pick a brand that fits the budget and use a good lube (eg, SLIP 2000 - EWL). No one in this FUBAR state will ever pound on a rifle so hard that the upper tier rifles will make a huge difference. The un-SAFE Act completely screwed the typical, law-abiding citizen who owned a modern sporting rifle in common use.

"Working" from home, but with 3 dogs, 2 kids and a woman present, it's only a matter of time before I start drinking.

Non-barrel aged stuff I usually polish off inside of a week like Harpoon Winter, Ommegang Hennepin, Sam Adams, etc.
-
No, BROW. I keep the good brews in boxes on a shelf in the cellar. At beer o'clock, they come upstairs and into the fridge or freezer to chill. Some are left to chill longer than others, depends on the brew. The easy drinking stuff is left in the garage to stay chilled during winter or in the spare fridge for easy access. It never lasts.

What in the actual fuck?

When the Legend who gifted us the 'Beer' thread says to pop a top, you listen. Dilly Dilly!

Enjoyed a great chowder and good crab cake sandwich at Jacob & Anthony's for lunch. Still kinda full so thinking dinner will be all beer tonight.
-
Damn, just went to the cellar and realized there are only barrel-aged brews left. To go back out and make a beer run or pop open some of the good stuff on a random Tuesday? That is the question!

Looks tasty, TF!

Home sweet Willettized home.

Beer money won is twice as sweet as beer money earned.
