My daughter has been getting this kind of crap from her school. Ive had a couple of chats with her teacher about how I dont appreciate her being told that meat isnt healthy, as it is not true, and not how she is being raised. I dont think I was the only parent to do so, because I never heard about it from her again.

Its a nation wide issue Doc, not just NY. A few months ago I was in Florida, so I stopped at some local shops and big box stores there, same situation as up here. I also stopped at some shops on my way back up I95, same deal in GA, SC, NC, s I stopped looking. There are guys out there saying the government is buying it all up, its a conspiracy, yadd yadda yadda. Those guys need to take their tin foil hats off.

inventory gets to the stores, it get scooped up as soon as they open. I know of a few groups that are doing it around here. They seem to have the "inside scoop" from employees as to what days the stock comes in, then they wait for them to open or put it on the shelves and bam, they buy it all. I actually havent noticed much of a rise in prices at regular retailers, but I have heard of LGSs buying it and selling at inflated prices.

I started out with a cheap ML, and sold it after a year to get something nice. I went with a TC Encore. Its a great gun, and gives you a ton of other options (rifle, shotgun, pistol, ML) with the interchangeable barrel system. Lots of custom stock and other options as well. Prices vary, but you can get a good deal on used ones with some looking around.

As long as you can measure the beard and spurs, and get pics of those thats ok. We had a couple like that last year. You dont need the tape measure on the full bird. The tag needs to be shown as well. Make sure to include the above pic of you with the bird as well.

Oh they get the ammo in from time to time, but it gets bought up within hours, sometimes minutes. There are people that stake out stores and have alerts, etc setup for online retailers and they buy it up quick. They also do the same thing in groups, to avoid the purchasing limits. josephmrtn posted a link to a site that keeps pretty up to date listing where what kind of ammo is available online. Take a peek at that, you might luck out! Sorry, but right now we are all in the same boat.

Joe posted an article from guns.com in the 2 Boston marathon threads, and then this completely different article from the same site in this thread. While posting the same link in 2 threads isnt the ideal thing to do, its far from spamming. Joe, youre fine.

I have had a few questions about the contest cards, so Ill just put some info here. Cards do NOT hve to be printed in color, black and white is fine. Cards can be folded up, etc, just make sure they are filled out and clearly visible in the entry photos. Contest starts tomorrow! Good luck to all!

Yep, color doesnt matter. You can fold it however you want as long as its filled out and visible in the picture!
