  1. Mine made it through the cold just fine, but we didnt get below 33 out our way. How did you guys up by the lake make out the other night? I pinched off all of my blossoms yesterday BTW. Gotta stop over to my dads and see how his trees made out.
  2. Thats a good buck right there, awesome pics!
  3. You dont need any apps to use the forum from your phone, it should work fine right in the browser. Make sure you are logged in to the site on your phone, and youll be all set. I use the site all the time from my phone, my ipad and my fiance's iphone.
  4. Im pretty sure Phils place is a house, not a trailer or double wide. Most homes down there dont have basements and many, especially the ones near swamps or the coast, are built up on stilts like that. Ive seen that place on episodes of Duck Commander, so yes, they live there. Remember, Phil isnt poor, hes the one that started the whole company to begin with.
  5. See, now if you hadnt had the camera with you, nobody would have believed it!
  6. All I saw was a bowl of meat and another of peppers and onions. Not how I make stew, so I didnt know lol. Looks good though.
  7. Yes, if you have the beard and legs, you can still fill everything out and get pics of the measurements. One of the other guys entered that way earlier in the contest, I think it was deerpassion, just check his thread for what you need to do.
  8. Congrats on the bird! bummer you didnt get your stuff filled out.
  9. Yep, theyve shown lots of pics of themselves before the beards
  10. No mats, but I keep the area clear that I dug out when I planted them. I dont really want 7 foot bare spots under them. They are in my yard btw, its not hunting property or anything. I just pull the fences every other time I mow.
  11. Yeah Ill worry about that when the time comes. I hope to get rid of the cages all together in the next few years, they are a pain to mow around.
  12. Well, they can charge whatever they want and call it a transfer fee, they just cant charge more than $10 for the background check.
  13. You are describing exactly what the politicians wanted to happen.
  14. There is no growth around the cage at this point. The fence is 6-12" away from any branch.
  15. I cant help you with a pro shop up there, but if you plan to hunt with the bow this year, now is the time to have the string done and the bow tuned so you are 100% comfortable with it come October.
  16. I did mine individually so they wouldnt have room to jump into the cages. Thats why I can get away with only a 4 foot fence.
  17. Geeze, thats the first non-STI Ive seen setup like that.
  18. I used to like watching Duck Commander years before the Duck Dynasty show came on. I always used to think they should have a different type of show because those guys were pretty funny on a regular hunting type show, let alone something else. It was one of the very few non-deer related hunting shows I watched. Even my fiance, who doesnt hunt, liked to watch DC. When I saw they were going to do a reality show, I knew it would do well, but I didnt think it would do as well as it has.
  19. I planted trees this year and fenced them in. Nothing special, just 4 foot welded wire in a 7 foot circle. The deer havent touched them. I also planted some pear trees, which I didnt cage in and the deer havent touched them either.
  20. Ive had discussions about the declining gun crime rate with a few antis, and the "best" excuse I get is that the DOJ has "changed the way they record or classify the crimes" lol. Funny the way they try to dance around the issue when the facts are presented.
  21. I bought a Stealth 4 or 5 years ago, it was dead out of the box, it went back to the store and I returned it for my money back. Never looked at another one again.
  22. Except that you have to go all the way to PA to get it done. The last time I had my string swapped, and the bow tuned, it cost me $30 or $40, and I could shoot the bow to make sure everything was good before I left. I second phade on 60x, Im on my 2nd bow with a set. Top quality.
