Went to stateland in 7p walked down the trail i took my deer on last weekend and it had 10 scrapes over 100 yrds that were not there last week.

Well. Worst sit so far. Hiked in 3/4 mile to get my stand so i was going to hunt then take it out. Wind was perfext and at about 5 oclock someone decided it was target practice time. Where i was expectimg the deer to go feed at. Oh well joys of stateland. However i did find 10 scrapes near where i shot mine last week so thats where ill be friday morning.

Heading out to stateland where i took my deer last weekend be my first evening sit of the year. Brother sat thr stand with the scrape pictures saw a little guy chasing does. He said when the fog lifted he found out there were goose hunters on the next property over less than 50yards from him in the corn field.

Sorry Off topic but skipped my hunt this am to go to verizon. There was a 30 something year old man crying like a 5yr old because they said his charge port was broke and they couldnt fix it. Kept begging them to fix the phone. They asked him for his info so they can see if he has a warranty and through his tears i heard him say no because it was his mommys plan and he wasnt allowed to have access and he didnt want a different phone he wanted his phone. It got so bad he left wet spots on the ground from his crying. Im 32 i could never imagine crying over a damn phone. Me and my 9 year old had to bite our lips from laughing.

Downwind and depending on weapon(gun,bow) ide sit off the scrape line 25-50yards where i can see atleast a couple of the scrapes if possible.

This happened last week at my lease week. Told my brother who planned on getting out at 930 to sit until atleast 10 since they were chopping next door. 15mins later he called and said he had a tall 8 and 3 does come flying out of the corn and pass him and into the swamp.

Had a buck come through in the dark this morning ended up grunting and chasing after a couple other deer i could hear. This is 7m madison county.

Im with biz. My 8 isnt huge and couple friends told me to not mount it. Its on my wall only 8 ive killed in 14yrs of hunting. I have a friend who shot a smaller 12 and talked himself out of it and he regrets it to this day.

What brand are you using on your drag line?

Wind looks good for am. Im sitting over that scrape. All those bucks have been there the last 3 days.

Forgot to mention those pictures are all on a mock scrape. All i did was open it up take a piss in it 2 days later is the picture of one of the 8s. And stands 22yrds exactly to that scrape for a wide open broadside shot

Fun sit. Saw 2 not sure what they were. Has a buck jump the fence ihave my ground blind next to. He was maybe 10yrds but it was at 6am i could just make out his body outline he sounded like a heavy body deer. Heard him destroy a tree and then some grunts then off after some deer i could hear farther in the woods. Hoping its one i got on camera. All these photos are from those 28 dollat camera from walmart.

Not allowed to have any firearm,boe ammunition or even hunting knife in vehichles on company grounds. Today staryed me leaving early on fridays unyil opener of gun.

Home from work dressed and out the door heading to my lease. Wish i could just take my gear to work and head straight out but not worth getting caught.

Be out in am. Going into my ground blind should be good hoping to catch a buck cruising.

Most i use them are is in a scrape dripper for some of my mock scrapes but this year just peeing in them to see if it makes any difference and drags ill use a doe and buck urine drags starting this weekend.

Cant wait to leave work early friday morning to hunt. But it will be a little humbling wife lost her best friend today to cancer she was like a sister to me and an aunt to my kids. So it will be my therapy to relax and be thankful for my health and to still be here. Dont care if i see or kill one friday just need to be out to recharge. Good luck to those going out.

Saw 2 8s together and a spike on my way home from work this morning.

Its getting to be that time more and more. Just had a small buck running 2 does across the road in front of me.

Nice buck for 7p. More people on here hunt 7p then i thought. I hunt out of oxford on the 7p side. Congrats nice deer.

Well this explains all the shooting i heard this am. Sounded like a war zone. Did not know it was duck season. Nice shooting for those who got some.
