  1. Worked a pair of gobblers from 10:00-11:45...five or six setups later... First TSS bird. Worked good.
  2. A few more found while out turkey hunting...
  3. My heaviest NY bird in 25 seasons of chasing them...
  4. Nice little youth season bonus. Found a little chewed one yesterday while turkey hunting too. Need two more to break my record.
  5. Two lonely longbeards roosted...can't wait for daybreak!!!
  6. Have some birds lined up, hope it's not a washout.
  7. Four more today to hit the 30 mark on the season... Third side by side set of the season. Hope this young guy makes is for a couple more years...
  8. #23, biggest for the season so far...
  9. Pretty much the only call that I've used in the past four seasons is my David Halloran Metal Mouth crystal pot with my favorite purpleheart striker. Hope to put another notch in it next weekend!
  10. Got out for a quick walk this afternoon...found 5 plus a skull. This brings me to my goal of 20, may still get out a few more times yet. Two side by side sets!!!
  11. There are quite a few taxidermists to chose from here in Steuben County. I happen be one of them but only try to take in 20-25 deer a season. Off the top of my head, I can name at least 10 other guys within 30-40 minutes of Bath. Some do really nice work, others not to much. It really pays to check out a few options before settling on "your guy".
  12. No problem man, glad to help fill up that wall space. I'm sure I will still take some deer in this fall...just not as many as I've been doing. Good luck on that next wall-hanger !
  13. Thanks, but don't give him any wild ideas!!!
  14. The results from DeerAge just came back at 7.5!
  15. This kind of growth is most typically seen on TV on managed farms in Iowa. I've seen a few bucks makes jumps like that but most don't see too much growth after 4.5, at least not from my experience in this area. Although, on the same property that this deer was taken...there was another buck killed back in 2010 that went from a mid 140s class typical to a mid 190s typical in a single season!
  16. He had a 160" 9pt frame in '18. The '17 sheds had a broken brow but would have grossed around 152" as a mainframe 9pt.
  17. Just put the finishing touches on this 168" Steuben County bruiser. Congrats to my buddy on his NYS bowkill of a lifetime!!!
