  1. I mounted a beautiful 5.5 yr old 8pt yesterday that a buddy of mine killed opening afternoon. It's absolutely gorgeous...I'm definitely going to kill my buck on Oct 1 next season! Lol
  2. Thanks everyone. Got two done and another 20+ to go...
  3. He looks great on the wall...definitely one of the prettier deer that I've ever sent home!
  4. Don't worry, I HATE realtree camo even more...lol.
  5. I shot a 2012 Lethal Force for 5 seasons until I got my Xpedition Xplorer SS. The turmoil is basically a upgraded hybrid cam version of the '12 LF. Should be a deer killing machine!!!!
  6. Yeah, just picked up a sweet black friday deal on an Obsession Turmoil RZ for under $500.Still getting it set up but it draws and holds awesome. Also, the grip is great...I know it's gonna be a shooter!
  7. Few more pics. Officially net green scored 198 7/8...
  8. My friend who runs the butchershop up the road charges $25 to cape. I've been caping all of his deer for the past two seasons, although this year has been very slow around here. I don't charge extra on deer that I mount. Honestly, I'd much rather skin the deer myself than deal with any "surprises" that may arise when the cape shows up inside a black plastic bag.
  9. Just picked up a '18 Obsession Turmoil RZ on a black Friday deal for $495...can't wait to try it out!
  10. I only learned of his existence a few weeks ago. He was only found yesterday afternoon.
  11. Nope. Brad won't let me use WGI cams! Lol
  12. What a couple years can do to a deer...
  13. He'd been seen limping, a friend just caped him this morning and said one of the hooves was almost completely missing.
  14. Just like anywhere else a few slip through the cracks and make it to maturity but this is still NY and the young bucks get stacked up like cordwood during gun season.
  15. A friend of my cousin found this absolute monster laying dead in his backyard yesterday afternoon. This deer was a local legend in the Bath area and several locals were after him. The DEC was called and came to investigate, no signs of a bullet wound were found so they issued a salvage tag. He was rough scored at 200 - 204, just a truely impressive NY buck!
  16. Here's a cool old hometown buck that I got in to mount. A buddy killed him sunday morning. I definately feel this ancient old guy was on the downhill slide of antler growth.
  17. It's not difficult at all to skin the deer to the base of the ears and detach the head and cape. Skinning the face is a different story...I'd leave that part to your taxidermist.
