  1. Yea. We will see what next year brings. Maybe back to the Catskills, my Dad knows a few good spots in Arkville and Margaretville.
  2. The elusive 30" mulie. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  3. My Dad hunted dark to dark and saw no deer. Worst season ever is complete. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  4. What property in 3N? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Mt lions drag and bury deer, not out them up in trees. A deer in a tree sounds like the action of a human. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Hunted dark to dark with my Dad. Neither of us saw anything. I bailed out on tomorrow. My season is done. First season for me without a buck since 2009. Only buck I saw was a tiny spike opening morning. My dad will hunt tomorrow all day. Next up for me is British Columbia in 3 weeks for a Lynx hunt. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Seen nothing, still hunting now. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I agree with the longe range. My dad has a weatherby .243 and its very good at 300-400+ yards. My dad took an antelope with it at 425 yards in the 1970's with it. My mom actually shot a few whitetails with it in the catskills in the 80's. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Canned tuna fish too. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Who wants a 3N? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  11. We should go to Iceland together to hunt artic fox: http://www.internationaladventure.com/iceland/articfox.html $3850 for one hunter $2950 for two hunters (price per person)
  12. I would like to kill a red fox for 3 reasons: 1 = because I think a red fox is one of harder species of game to kill in New York (harder than a whitetail, squirrel, chipmunk, and many other species). 2 = because I never killed one before (did miss a nice 1 once during deer season). 3 = To display as a trophy.

    My first

Congrats Red! Ginger's are a dying breed, so I'm happy to see you get one!
  14. We wanted a June wedding and it would have been restricted on dates and times in 2014, so we are going 2015. Plus her brother is getting married in 2014 and so is a friend of ours, so 2015 works perfect since we can pick any Saturday night in June. Lastly, I got zero complaints since her Dad is paying for it all.
  15. Absurd. In my opinion, rape DOES deserve the death penalty. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Congrats! I got engaged in August. June 2015 wedding. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. While I was at work, my Dad hunted dark to dark in the fog and only saw 2 tom turkeys. He is taking tomorrow off with the heavy rain expected. His 2nd day off this gun season. I'll be out there with him on Saturday. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Also try googling "rifle elk hunts $5,000", etc. Ask lots of questions, then Google the outfitting company, the actual outfitters name, etc. By the time I go on a hunt, I can usually tell him his kids names, how many yards he has rushing senior year in football, etc. It's amazing what u can find on the internet. 19. You should be able to find a guide with decent success rates for around $5K. Everything is negotiable. I've thought many times about an Elk, but they take up a bunch of space. My dad got a nice 5x5 in the 90's for like $2K with a guide on public land. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Awesome! Congrats to the hunters! Any pics? Buck or doe? What did it score! Great to hear a story about a successful recovery! Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  21. He was in his stand 1.5hrs before dark and saw flashlights. It took the other hunters till the afternoon to finally reach him. Probably tracking a piebald. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  22. So did you help them find the deer? Was it a buck or doe? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  23. He's not as accurate as me at long distances Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
