I drive along the east side of letchworth every weekend when heading to the property I hunt. Always wanted to give it a shot during archery season.

Does anybody use the Exodus Render cell cam? I’ve read they’re a good camera but don’t know anyone who uses one.

How do you attach your safety line to the tree strap

I’ve been using the HSS rope style tree strap. I think it’s more adjustable than the standard ones that come with the harness -
I’ve always been told to keep the doe family groups around and shoot the doe with no fawns. Every doe I’ve seen this year has fawns but I’m sure at this point the fawns can survive alone.

This happened to me in a climber. When I shot, the bottom cam hit the rail and sent the arrow left of my aiming point. Luckily I hit liver and recovered the deer but now I always practice a draw when I get on stand to make sure my rail is clear of my bow when shooting

Those other “hunting” shows spend more time advertising than actually hunting

Yeah. It’s impressive how they can sneak in on bucks that are bedded or hung up with a doe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Check out their NY public land bow hunt from last year. It was also a spot and stalk hunt filmed from an elevated position.

One property I hunt was bought 2.5 years ago and was updated on the county maps but onX still shows the previous owners name.

I’ve been using it for the past 3 years and property ownership has not been updated for the area I hunt.

DEC Proposes Potential Future "Holiday" Deer Hunt
FullDraw_9x replied to CapDistPatriot's topic in Deer Hunting
I think the extended season could work. In recent years there has not been enough snow to ride prior to January in the southern zone and many snowmobile clubs have trails closed due to volunteers still signing/clearing trails at that time. Most of my riding time, even into early January, has to be done in the northern zone. -

I usually see an increase in rut activity and day time trail camera pictures (11-2pm) the first week of November. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ended up going to Heritage Outdoors this morning to get my draw length adjusted (Bullzeye Archery was closed for the week). It seems to be a good archery shop with a staff that is willing to help even with small jobs.

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured a 30-45 min drive would be needed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
