Wife vetoed sako ... who knows what goes on in the mind of a woman
-
When I butchered the boar I took all my scraps for grinding . I didn't remove any fat . I was still worried it might be to lean . It turned out great . Wasn't the least bit dry . Not greasy either. Cook time took 7.5 hours . Longer than I expected . Cook temp was 200 ... done temp was 156 degrees.

Guess I forgot to post this . Made this a few weeks ago 50/50 venison to russian boar. Cracked pepper and garlic summer sausage. Came out great ... logs weight out at 3 lbs a piece.

I gave up trying . Wife wants a new dog she gets it ... at best I can push it out for a while . The minute she gets her hands on a pup and smells puppy breath its over.

Good luck with that....

I guess part of the problem is we have had so many good dogs over the years in the family . We have used alot of the good dog names and wife doesnt want to reuse them..

My ruger 10/22 has been great probably 10000 rds down the pipe . 3 kids and 2 grandkids . Have killed hundreds of squirrels with it . I keep it cleaned and oiled . Run just about any ammo through it . Remington yellow jackets are about the only thing it doesn't shoot well. I'm guessing mine is 30 years old now .

Ok so wifee decided I needed a new pup. Ellie my lab needs a playmate.... the wife needed another dog ... what ever the excuse is . We went today and looked at a litter of lab pups . We prefer females. In the end we picked a little male. 5 weeks old . Be 3 weeks before we can pick him up . So we are working on a name . We both kind of like Ruger. We are still thinking on it . If you would like, throw out some suggestions.

Knock on wood I have never had snow stick on my shoot. Picked up a rock once. Locked it up pretty good. I'm running a 9 hp poulan snowblower . I bought it new 20 plus years ago . Anything less than 2 inches I shovel. I use the tractor and loader if it's more than a foot to clear the end of the driveway when the plows get done filling end of the driveway back in.

Always wanted to get into it. Have the gun and old caller . Been out a few times when I was younger . Just never seem to connect the times I was out10 years ago. Congrats.

I actually use to leave my lay out blind unzipped at the bottom . Dog use to climb in lay between my legs and poke its nose out the bottom . As far as duck blinds I usually let them in or make a spot beside the blind .

Depends on the dog . Some dogs I wouldn't want to be seen either... sorry I couldn't resist
