Wow that sounds like a fun adventure. I have hunted swamps and the finger Lakes and Lake Ontario big water I am guessing Erie is like Ontario should be a lot of ducks migrating through so you should get some good action especially in a boat. You should be OK using the 1187 and two and three-quarter 3 inch would be better but my son is using a 20 gauge today with 3 inch 2s and it’s getting the job done. My guess is if you’re with a guide in a boat he should be able to put you on ducks for fairly close shots. post up the pics from this adventure when you get a chance as I would like to know how you did and good hunting and happy holidays.

It’s a fowl morning here in the Fingerlakes. My son is thrilled to have taken a banded black duck on Cayuga Lake this morning. He said they are flying well and seeing good sized flocks of mallards and black dux with a mix of divers. Good flocks of redhead are hitting the Fingerlakes as the cold weather froze up the northern lake plains swamps.

My son has the same heated jacket. He wore his today duck hunting on Owasco Lake. He swears by it. Getting a heated vest for Christmas looking forward to some cold weather sets with that.

Yep we get the same 40% off. We got ours for Christmas two years ago he just sent us a link and we could order through him directly no limitations. Though we didn’t order five coats who can afford that. He’s an outfitter my son worked for and he was able to offer a discount as a result plain and simple. So No abuses. Perhaps the abuse has came more on the program you’re buying under....that cause you to have to provide ID and retirement paperwork as that has a wider audience. On another note I think I saw you posted you had a heated vest well I told my wife about it and I’m getting that for Christmas too besides the Dead On book so I got to thank you nomad for a couple of Christmas presents that you had a hand in but didn’t have to pay for...the best kind Good luck on dropping one of them slammers you saw today. Looks like we got about 5 inches of white sand that fell so far in 7f Cayuga County. It’s still snowing lightly here. Getting ready for work and son is on his way to plow the driveway so got go clear and move cars.

I am not sure how you get your discount do you work for sitka or I’m guessing you’ll get it because you’re a retired firefighter My sons friend is an outfitter who can extend offers to families and friends As he has done that in the past simply sent a link on their website to my son to get a discount so I don’t think he’s screwing anything up for anybody and we didn’t have to send any ID or retirement paperwork because I’m still working and so is my son so different program. I f it were me I am not sure I would send retirement paperwork and ID to get a discount on clothes...course that wasn’t even required to vote recently so IDK but it’s good cold weather gear.

Sitka Fanatic coat and neck gaiter. Merino wool and compression fit by UA and Legendary keeps me pretty warm when cold hits. Pants are Sitka and UA cold compression pants My Son is friends w someone who got us great discount on Sitka stuff so we tried it and its as advertised great stuff but expensive. Me likes and gives thumbs up

Startled 3 on the walk in already feeding Settled in and light flurries just starting here in 7f. Should be an interesting evening one of the locals said big buck still alive that no one has seen but he did Sunday not too far from here so maybe my son can fill his buck tag yet.

Buckform est circa 2012. It started out as 4 - 6 x 6 25 foot long posts buried 4 1/2 feet each and then concreted in. Along with a platform measuring 12 x 12 approximately 14 high. All pressure treated. Steps came in 2014 and hunted out of ground blind until 2016 the built 11x11 building roof. This year we finished inside and outside (insulated, wired and folding windows). I have 2 comfy office swivel chairs a table and 2 dead shot field pods for guns. Interior design folks from Cabela’s coming in January to finish decor haha. Next year wall mount heat replace mr buddy heater and power source. When we finish the downstairs I think I’m going to lease it out to Bob Krafts massage parlor folks and get some of my money back.
