I bought one of these last year and the thing is built like a tank and I pushed 3" frozen cubes of venison in it and it didn't even grunt. I had some shipping issues as some may remember but it was Fed Ex's fault and not the grinders. If you are in the market jump because these do not last long.

one note.

i don't care what they say the cutting plates and blades are NOT stainless. they are carbon and just have to be oiled so they don't rust. the rest of mine was stainless. and weighs in around 70 pounds

Ive seen Culver's grinder, hes not kidding about how nice these are. If I could get away with it right now, Id order one in a heartbeat.

Man that is a beast!! I am in the market for one but that might just be overkill!! I would do probably 50 to 150 pounds a year through it. Any input on the #12 or other makes models?

I don't know. I took kind of a gamble because I was worried about the pricing being too good to be true.. It is an animal though. the price on it is liek getting a #12 elsewhere. My neighbor is going to ose it for gringinf tomatoes and applesauce just because of the size of the throat.

Ok so now Culver has inspired me to get a grinder. Main deal is for making sausage. I may do 50 to 150 pounds a year so not a ton. I want something that will last but reasonable priced.

Researching online is giving me a head ache!! Any input from some of you guys who have/use one?
