First-light
Folks, I'm headed to camp with my two daughters. We are over by Hornell. Usually we do a day trip to someplace special. Last year it was Letchworth park. Any suggestions from you Western New Yorkers? I was thinking Niagara Falls. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. WNYBuckHunter
The falls is a great place if you go over to the Canadian side. Bring your passports/enhanced drivers licenses and enjoy! Last time we were up there we saw the Butterfly museum and took a walk down down through the Clifton Hill area. We parked on the American side and walked over, then got the day passes for the bus system. If you drive over, the trip through customs can take a while. If you walk, its super fast, and the view off of the Rainbow Bridge is pretty awesome! Corning Museum of Glass is alot of fun and kids get in for free. I try to take my daughter every summer, she loves it. http://www.cmog.org/ How old are your daughters? That would help with advice on where to go. Thanks for the info about the falls and we have been to corning but never the museum. The museum is a strong possibility.

landtracdeerhunter
Ah, Niagara Falls, U.S.A., right in my back door yard. Where to begin, lets see. Well on this side, have the American Falls, Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist, and of the world renoun power boat rides. A beautiful view of the Horseshoe Falls awaits you. And don't forget the Falls Aquarium , kids will love it. All watered out, well maybe the kids might want to shop at the Factory Outlet Mall, While on this side Martins Fancy Island offers tons of ride with a carnival atmosphere minutes away in Grand Island. Want more, A quaint village named Lewiston NY is minutes north with outdoor concerts(Artpark), small shop, and wonderful dinning.Lockport Ny is 14 miles to the west. See boats navigate locks 34 and 35 on the historic Erie canal. Take a tour of the city on the trolley car, and be sure to visit the escarpment caves. Can tell u all about Canada if like.
