I was upstate in Chenango County 7P this weekend with the family near Coventry and as i was on the way home from the lake i saw a tom in full sturt and fan with 3 hens. It was so obvious at 150 yards off the road that my wife even spotted it.

Is it just a messed up year of is this normal. Never ever saw them strut this late. I have heard them gobbling on November in Pennsylvania while deer hunting but never saw them strut.

They do down at camp and even during gun season when the snows flying...but hey if hens lost a clutch or poults they will try again around this time of year....poults will be smallin fall but in swamp areas and certain warm winter pockets could survive the winter...neat to see

Yeah... I've seen them strut in summer when hens are with them.. but a few days ago I saw a Tom strut all alone in the driveway of a house not far from mine. I'm sure there were hens near by that I did'nt see. Since I missed the whole season, due to an injury, It Ticked me off, but what can you do? ... I guess they're like deer....you cant figure them out.
