Thought I'd open a mock near my stand... thoughts?

I have seen some action and know of a bachelor group of 7 bucks that have been seen in the section of a field near where my 2 stands are.I was thinking of opening a mock near one of them about 60 yards away from one stand.

I have some Smokeys preorbital for the branch and was gonna hang a dripper with Active Scrape Thursday night.

Your thoughts?

After thinking about this I plan to use Dominant Buck Urine rather than Active Scrape in the dripper. See if I can get the real Dom Buck to come check things out Monday afternoon/evening.

I opened an old scrape 2 weekends ago, I didnt do anything other than open it up. Hung the camera about 10 feet away and got a few pics of an 8 point checking it out. No scents or lures.

Buckboy... set up your treestand about 50 yards downwind of that scrape if the photos show the buck(s) coming from that direction. Chances are they are coming from the other way about 50 yards to the side of that scrape and scent-checking it before actually going to it.

I cleared out a few at 3-4 of my stand sites this year.. First time doing it.. I didnt use any scents/attractants/ just cleared them out with a stick.. It'll be interesting to see if their being used this week
